The sidearm is still largely in found condition.
The locking mechanism works perfectly.
The grip is patinated, the grip scales unopened.
The bright blade is cleanly sharpened in a military manner and not reworked.
The matching steel scabbard is patinated, but there are no significant rust damages present.
A very nice SG 98/05 with signs of age and wear from the time.
Overall length without scabbard 499 mm, blade length 369 mm.

Abnahmestempel W 17 auf dem Klingenrücken, für 1917.
Zusätzlicher Stempel 1917 auf der Fehlschärfe links.
Das Seitengewehr befindet sich noch weitgehend im Fundzustand.
Die Verriegelung funktioniert einwandfrei.
Das Griffstück ist patiniert, die Griffschalen ungeöffnet.
Die blanke Klinge sauber kriegsmäßig angeschliffen und nicht überarbeitet.
Die passende Stahlblechscheide ist patiniert, es sind jedoch keine nennenswerten Rostschäden vorhanden.
Ein sehr schönes SG 98/05 mit den Alters und Tragespuren aus der Zeit.
Gesamtlänge ohne Scheide 499 mm, Klingenlänge 369 mm.
