The Bedale wax jacket is made from 6oz quality waxed cotton (Sylkoil) and was first launched in 1980. Characteristic elements such as a 2-way zipper with a snap button placket, two large bellows pockets, and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, as well as the corduroy collar, give the jacket a distinctive look. The Bedale jacket is characterized by its slightly shorter cut and ribbed knit cuffs at the sleeve ends. Even today, the jacket is produced in-house at the production facility in South Shields, in the northeast of England. The jacket can be complemented with a warming inner lining and a hood.
