H & K focused on the robust and precisely modified Browning system (Browning-Petter system) during development. The pistol is available in calibers 9mm Para and .40 S&W. Since the latter is mostly used in the US market, this can be disregarded here. The magazine capacity in caliber 9mm Para is 15 cartridges. The development was a complete success. H & K setzte bei der Entwicklung auf das robuste und präzise modifizierte Browning System (Browning-Petter-System). Erhältlich ist die Pistole in den Kalibern 9mm Para sowie .40 S&W.
