I am offering 100 pieces of hand-cast lead round balls for rifles and/or handguns in caliber .423 (Ø approx. 10.74 mm). The balls are made from 99.94% certified soft lead, carefully cast with a custom Lyman mold.

Weight: approx. 113 grain

From now on, I will roll (tumble) all lead balls. Casting sprues and casting marks have almost completely disappeared. The balls are treated with a bit of graphite and wax. This makes them shine beautifully and you don't get too black fingers from the graphite.

The advantages of casting are that there are no voids in the ball, as the air can still escape from the mold. When pressing, there can be voids in the lead, which cause significantly different weights of the balls and thus different point of impacts. However, these pressed balls do not have casting sprues... ich biete hier 100 Stück handgegossene, Blei-Rundkugeln für Gewehre und oder Kurzwaffen im Kaliber .423 (Ø ca. 10,74 mm) an.
Die Kugeln sind aus 99,94 %igem, zertifiziertem Hütten-Weichblei, mit einer Custom-Lyman-Kokille, sorgfältig gegossen.

Gewicht: ca. 113 Grain

Ab sofort werde ich alle Bleikugeln rollen (trommeln). Gussbutzen und Gussgrade sind dadurch fast komplett verschwunden.
Die Kugeln sind mit etwas Graphit und Wachs behandelt. Dadurch glänzen sie sehr schön und man bekommt keine allzu schwarze Finger durch das Graphit.

Die Vorteile des Gusses ist, das keine Lunker in der Kugel sind, denn die Luft kann noch oben aus der Kokille entweichen. Beim Pressen können Lunker im Blei sein, die für stark unterschiedliche Gewichte der Kugeln sorgen und somit für unterschiedliche Trefferlagen. Dafür haben diese gepressten Kugeln keinen Gussbutzen...
