The L42A1 was the last of the British Lee Enfield rifles and is considered a legendary sniper rifle from World War II. It was developed in the late 1960s to replace the Mk1(T) rifles from the Second World War. From 1970 to 1990, the L42A1 was used by the British Army, the Royal Marines, and the snipers of the Royal Air Force.
Ares is now developing its own line of classic airsoft rifles.
The repeating rifle is now also available in the airsoft variant in caliber 6mm. It is a detailed replica at a scale of 1:1. The metal parts of the rifle are made of 95% stainless steel with QPQ finish. Additionally, the soft air replica comes with a particularly high-quality, laminated real wood stock, which gives the spring-powered weapon a very robust feel. The butt plate is smooth. There is also a wooden cheek rest attached to the rear stock. Just like the real weapon, the ARES L42A1 has an exposed barrel, which allows it to oscillate better.
For the shooting system, Ares relies on a spring-powered system, which allows the air pressure rifle to achieve solid performance. To shoot, you simply pull the cocking lever back like with the real weapon and then push it forward again. The air rifle is now ready to fire. The magazine holds 35 6mm BBs. We recommend using a speedloader to fill the airsoft pellets. For the necessary precision, an adjustable hop-up is installed inside the airsoft weapon. This can be adjusted continuously.
Unlike most other Ares spring-powered weapons, the L42A1 features a loading status indicator and a direct BB feeding system, similar to the Amoeba STRIKER series. With the 'Direct Feeding System', the airsoft pellets go directly from the magazine into the spin-up system, making them less prone to malfunctions. The hop-up can be adjusted from above in the open state with a 1.5mm hex key (not included).
The rear sight (diopter sight) can be flipped up and adjusted as needed. At the front of the weapon barrel, the typical Lee Enfield Rifle No.4 front sight is mounted, which is protected on both sides by protective wings with circular cutouts, allowing more light to hit the front sight and making it easier to see during rapid firing. As an additional sighting option for shooting, this airsoft rifle comes with a pre-mounted metal scope.
For safe transport, you can attach a carrying strap (not included) at three points. One sling mount on the rear stock and two on the front stock.
Please note that the safety can only be engaged in the cocked position (minimum loading status indicator cocked).
If you are looking for a rifle for British reenactments of the Cold War, cosplay, or even a really nice wall hanger, this rifle is the perfect weapon for that. The weapon is designed for right-handed users.

Ares entwickelt nun eine eigene Reihe an klassischen Softair Gewehren.
Das Repetiergewehr gibt es nun auch in der Softair Variante im Kaliber 6mm. Es handelt es sich hierbei um einen detailgetreuen Nachbau im Maßstab 1:1. Die Metallteile des Gewehrs bestehen zu 95% aus Edelstahl mit QPQ Finish. Zusätzlich kommt der Soft Air Nachbau mit einem besonders hochwertigen, laminierten Echtholz Gewehrschaft, welcher der Federdruck Waffe ein sehr robustes Gefühl verleiht. Die Schaftkappe ist glatt. Am Hinter Schaft ist zusätzlich eine Wangenauflage aus Holz angebracht. Genau wie die echte Waffe hat auch die ARES L42A1 einen freiliegenden Lauf, welcher hierdurch besser schwingen kann.
Als Schusssystem setzt Ares auf ein Federdruck System, wodurch das Luftdruckgewehr eine solide Leistung erreicht. Zum Schießen ziehst du einfach wie bei der echten Waffe den Spannhebel nach hinten und schiebst ihn dann wieder nach vorne. Schon ist der das Druckluftgewehr schussbereit. Das Magazin fasst 35 6mm BB Kugeln. Zum Einfüllen der Softair Kugeln empfehlen wir dir einen Speedloader zu nutzen. Für die nötige Präzision ist im Inneren der Softair Waffe ein einstellbares Hop-Up verbaut. Dieses kann stufenlos verstellt werden.
Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Ares Federdruckwaffen verfügt die L42A1 über eine Ladestandsanzeige und ein direktes BB Zuführungssystem, ähnlich wie bei der Amoeba STRIKER Serie. Durch das 'Direct Feeding System' gelangen die Airsoftkugeln direkt vom Magazin in das Spin-Up System, was sie weniger anfällig für Fehlfunktionen macht. Das Hop Up kann im geöffnenten Zustand von oben mit einem 1,5mm Innensechskantschlüssel (nicht enthalten) verstellt werden.
Die hintere Visierung (Dioptervisierung) kannst du bei Bedarf hochklappen und verstellen. Vorne am Waffen Lauf ist das typische Lee Enfield Rifle No.4 Korn montiert, das auf beiden Seiten durch Schutzflügel mit kreisförmigen Aussparungen geschützt ist, damit mehr Licht auf das Korn fällt und es beim schnellen Feuern leichter zu erkennen ist. Als weitere Visierung zum Schießen ist bei diesem Softairgewehr ein Zielfernrohr aus Metall vormontiert.
Für den sicheren Transport kannst du einen Tragegurt (nicht inklusive) an drei Punkten anbringen. Ein Sling Mount am Hinterschaft und zwei am Voderschaft.
Bitte beachte, dass die Sicherung nut im gespannten Zustand (mind. Ladestandsazeige gespannt) eingelegt werden kann.
