The L42A1 was the last of the British Lee Enfield rifles and is considered a legendary sniper rifle from World War II. It was developed in the late 1960s to replace the Mk1(T) rifles from the Second World War. From 1970 to 1990, the L42A1 was used by the British Army, the Royal Marines, and the snipers of the Royal Air Force.
Ares is now developing its own line of classic airsoft rifles.
The repeating rifle is now also available in the airsoft variant in caliber 6mm. It is a detailed replica at a scale of 1:1. The metal parts of the rifle are made of 95% stainless steel with QPQ finish. Additionally, the soft air replica comes with a particularly high-quality, laminated real wood stock, which gives the spring-powered weapon a very robust feel. The butt plate is smooth. There is also a wooden cheek rest attached to the rear stock. Just like the real weapon, the ARES L42A1 has an exposed barrel, which allows it to oscillate better.
For the shooting system, Ares relies on a spring-powered system, which allows the air pressure rifle to achieve solid performance. To shoot, you simply pull the cocking lever back like with the real weapon and then push it forward again. The air rifle is now ready to fire. The magazine holds 35 6mm BBs. We recommend using a speedloader to fill the airsoft pellets. For the necessary precision, an adjustable hop-up is installed inside the airsoft weapon. This can be adjusted continuously.
Unlike most other Ares spring-powered weapons, the L42A1 features a loading status indicator and a direct BB feeding system, similar to the Amoeba STRIKER series. With the 'Direct Feeding System', the airsoft pellets go directly from the magazine into the spin-up system, making them less prone to malfunctions. The hop-up can be adjusted from above in the open state with a 1.5mm hex key (not included).
The rear sight (diopter sight) can be flipped up and adjusted as needed. At the front of the weapon barrel, the typical Lee Enfield Rifle No.4 front sight is mounted, which is protected on both sides by protective wings with circular cutouts, allowing more light to hit the front sight and making it easier to see during rapid firing. As an additional sighting option for shooting, this airsoft rifle comes with a pre-mounted metal scope.
For safe transport, you can attach a carrying strap (not included) at three points. One sling mount on the rear stock and two on the front stock.
Please note that the safety can only be engaged in the cocked position (minimum loading status indicator cocked).

Das L42A1 war viele Jahre das Standard Scharfschützengewehr der britischen Streitkräfte und gilt bis heute als eines der bekanntesten Präzisionsgewehre seiner Epoche. Ares setzt dieses Modell als authentischen Nachbau der Classic Line um und kombiniert historische Optik mit moderner Fertigungsqualität.
Der laminierte Echtholzschaft harmoniert mit den Edelstahlteilen im QPQ Finish und vermittelt zusammen mit dem freischwingenden Außenlauf ein besonders hochwertiges Erscheinungsbild.
Das Federdrucksystem wird über den Kammerstängel gespannt und vermittelt ein authentisches Repetiergefühl. Da weder Gas noch Akku benötigt werden, arbeitet das System zuverlässig und wartungsarm.
Das Magazin fasst 35 BBs im Kaliber 6mm BB und lässt sich mit einer Ladehilfe schnell befüllen.
Im Gegensatz zu vielen klassischen Federdruck Modellen verfügt die L42A1 über ein Direct Feeding System. Die BBs werden direkt vom Magazin in das Hop Up System geführt, wodurch die Zuführung besonders zuverlässig erfolgt.
Zusätzlich informiert eine integrierte Ladestandsanzeige jederzeit darüber, ob das Gewehr gespannt ist.
Das stufenlos einstellbare Hop Up kann über die geöffnete Systemeinheit mit einem 1,5 mm Innensechskantschlüssel angepasst werden und verbessert die Flugbahn der 6mm BBs.
Neben dem vormontierten Zielfernrohr verfügt das Softairgewehr über eine klappbare und verstellbare Dioptervisierung sowie das charakteristische Lee Enfield Korn mit seitlichen Schutzflügeln.
Drei Trageriemenaufnahmen ermöglichen unterschiedliche Tragevarianten. Die Sicherung kann ausschließlich im gespannten Zustand betätigt werden und orientiert sich damit am originalgetreuen Bedienkonzept.
Zum Lieferumfang gehören ein Magazin, ein vormontiertes Zielfernrohr mit Montage, ein Hartschalenkoffer, eine Ladehilfe sowie ein Reinigungsstab.
