The M 12 S with hand tensioning continues to offer all the functions that make the model so successful. Furthermore, it can now be tensioned silently even at the stop using hand tensioning. The firing pin spring is only tensioned shortly before the shot. This allows the loaded but relaxed weapon to be handled absolutely safely. The hand tensioning of the Mauser M 12 S is designed so that the chamber is automatically secured against accidental opening in the relaxed state. A light push against the tension lever to the right is sufficient to open the chamber without tension.

Die M 12 S mit Handspanner bietet weiterhin alle Funktionen, die das Modell so erfolgreich macht. Darüber hinaus kann nun mittels Handspannung selbst im Anschlag problemlos geräuschlos gespannt werden.Die Schlagbolzenfeder wird erst kurz vor dem Schuss gespannt. Hierdurch kann die geladene, aber entspannte Waffe absolut sicher geführt werden. Die Handspannung der Mauser M 12 S ist so ausgelegt, dass die Kammer im entspannten Zustand automatisch gegen versehentliches Öffnen gesichert ist. Ein leichter Druck gegen den Spannhebel nach rechts genügt, um die Kammer ungespannt öffnen zu können.

M 12 Trail ist speziell für die harten Ansprüche der Nachsuchenführer und Durchgehschützen entwickelt worden. Das Herzstück bildet das M12 Stahl-System mit dem 47cm kurzen Lauf.
