Year of manufacture: approx. 1864, Condition: 3-4 (age-related), Barrel length: 3"/7.5cm, Overall length: 18cm Original condition, externally only cleaned, fully functional, 5-shot, made by Brooklyn Arms & Co., "Slocum Front-Loading Pocket Revolver", one of the most curious constructions and a circumvention of the well-known Rollin-White patent by Frank P. Slocum, with side-loading individual chamber cylinders from the outside, each cylinder bore contains a sliding sleeve with rifling as a sliding cover, also "a milestone in revolver technology far ahead of its time", when other manufacturers were still patenting and producing percussion revolvers, externally visible steel and brass parts lightly cleaned and with hand engraving, mechanics fully functional, smooth rosewood grip panels....a top rarity

Slocum, mit seitlich beschickbaren einzelnen Trommelkammern von außen, jede Zylinderbohrung enthält eine gleitende Hülse mit Riffelung als Schiebedeckel, ebenfalls "ein Meilenstein der Revolvertechnik seiner Zeit weit voraus", als andere Hersteller noch Perkussionsrevolver patentierten und herstellten, außenliegende Stahl- und Messingteile äußerlich leicht geputzt und mit Handgravur, Mechanik mit voller Funktion, glatte Rosenholzgriffschalen....eine Top-Rarität
