The success story of the Beaufort jacket begins in the 1980s. The legendary wax jacket was designed by Dame Margaret and sold for the first time in 1983. The chairwoman was inspired by the design during a stay in France, where hunting clothing has always been much more fashionable and widespread than in England.
The unmistakable classic is worn by both women and men and has achieved cult status worldwide. Even today, the jacket made of waxed cotton is produced in the in-house production facility in South Shields, in the northeast of England.
Characteristic details such as the snug cord collar, a robust 2-way zipper, and warming hand pockets at waist height give the weather-resistant jacket its distinctive look.

Die Erfolgsstory der Beaufort-Jacke beginnt in den 80-Jahren. Die legendäre Wachsjacke wurde von Dame Margaret entworfen und das erste Mal im Jahr 1983 verkauft. Die Vorstandvorsitzende ließ sich während eines Frankreichaufenthalts, wo Jagdbekleidung seit jeher sehr viel modischer und verbreiteter als in England ist, zu dem Design inspirieren.
Der unverwechselbare Klassiker wird von sowohl Damen als auch Herren getragen und hat weltweit Kultstatus erreicht. Noch heute wird die aus gewachster Baumwolle gefertigte Jacke in der hauseigenen Produktionsstätte in South Shields, im Nordosten Englands, gefertigt.
