In 1903, the United States introduced the strongest military cartridge in the world for the Springfield rifle model 1903. Three years later, some minor adjustments were made, including the introduction of a lighter and streamlined bullet, the .30-06 Springfield. The casing has an almost optimal capacity for many bullet diameters.
