I am offering three old hunting horns in different sizes, which come from the estate of a marksman. All three horns come with a matching bag.
The exact age of the horns cannot be determined; however, two reference books found in one of the outer pockets suggest, based on the publication date, that they date back to the 1960s. Visually, all three horns are quite appealing, but they show patina due to their age. With the right polish, this could certainly be remedied, but then they would just be soulless pieces, like those found in any hunting outfitter – shiny and new, but without history and, in my opinion, merely decorative pieces for the wall. But that is for each person to decide for themselves.
The price stated is absolutely arbitrary on my part; on the one hand, it is difficult to find someone who wants 3 such pieces at once, and on the other hand, the price is always negotiated anyway. If you are interested, feel free to make me a fair offer for one of the horns, or preferably all 3.
If no interested party is found in the coming weeks, I will offer the horns at one of the well-known auction houses.
Shipping is, of course, possible and depends on the size/weight of the desired pieces. Self-collectors are also welcome!
(Show description in original language)Ich biete hier drei alte Jagdhörner in unterschiedlichen Größen an, die aus dem Nachlass eines Schützenbruders stammen. Alle drei Hörner kommen inklusive einer dazugehörigen Tasche.
Das genaue Alter der Hörner lässt sich nicht bestimmen, allerdings deuten zwei Fachbücher, die sich in einer der Außentaschen befanden, aufgrund des Ausgabedatums auf die 60er Jahre hin. Optisch sind alle drei Hörner durchaus ansprechend, weisen jedoch aufgrund des Alters Patina auf. Mit der richtigen Politur ließe sich das sicherlich beheben, doch dann wären sie nur noch seelenlose Stücke, wie sie in jedem Jagdausstatter zu finden sind – glänzend und neu, aber ohne Geschichte und in meinen Augen dann nur noch Dekostücke für die Wand. Doch das soll jeder selbst für sich entscheiden.
Der angegebene Preis ist von mir absolut willkürlich gewählt, zum einen ist es schwierig jemanden zu finden der 3 solcher Stück auf einmal möchte, zum anderen wird so oder so immer um den Preis gefeilscht. Falls Interesse besteht, macht mir gerne ein faires Angebot für eines der Hörner , oder gerne alle 3.
Sollte sich in den nächsten Wochen kein Interessent finden, werde ich die Hörner in einem der bekannten Auktionshäuser anbieten.
Versand ist selbstverständlich möglich und richtet sich nach Größe/Gewicht der gewünschten Stücke. Selbstabholer sind ebenso willkommen !
