I have inherited two historical pistols from my father and would like to have them appraised by a specialist dealer.
In the last few days, I have done some research myself and came across the following possible classification:
One of the pistols has the inscription "TOWER" on the lock plate as well as a crown above the letters "GR". As far as I could find out, it could be a British military pistol, possibly from the late 18th to early 19th century (possibly a Sea Service Pistol or a similar model from the time of the Napoleonic Wars).
The second pistol appears to be a percussion pistol. There are two cloverleaf-like stamps on the barrel. I suspect that these could be proof or manufacturer marks. It could possibly date from the first half of the 19th century.
Since I am not an expert, I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in determining them more accurately.
Could you please let me know: what models you think they are (including the corresponding period) and how much you would estimate a realistic selling price? If they are historically valuable, which I do not assume, I would donate them to a museum.

In den letzten Tagen habe ich selbst einmal etwas recherchiert und bin dabei auf folgende mögliche Einordnung gestoßen:
Eine der Pistolen trägt auf der Schlossplatte die Aufschrift „TOWER“ sowie eine Krone über den Buchstaben „GR“. Soweit ich herausfinden konnte, könnte es sich dabei um eine britische Militärpistole handeln, möglicherweise aus der Zeit Ende 18. bis Anfang 19. Jahrhundert (eventuell eine Sea Service Pistol oder ein ähnliches Modell aus der Zeit der napoleonischen Kriege).
Die zweite Pistole scheint wohl eine Perkussionspistole zu sein. Auf dem Lauf befinden sich zwei kleeblattartige Stempel. Ich vermute, dass es sich hierbei um Beschuss- oder Herstellerzeichen handeln könnte. Zeitlich könnte sie eventuell aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts stammen.
Da ich selbst kein Experte bin, würde ich mich sehr freuen, wenn Sie mir bei der genaueren Bestimmung helfen könnten.
Könnten Sie mir bitte mitteilen: um welche Modelle es sich Ihrer Einschätzung nach handelt (gerne auch mit dazugehörigen Zeit) und wie hoch Sie einen realistischen Verkaufswert einschätzen würden? Wenn sie historisch wertvoll sind, wovon ich nicht ausgehe, würde ich sie einem Museum spenden.
