For sale is a very rare rifle, one of only six available versions for the Trials in New Guinea. Another of these versions is located in the Nationaal Militair Museum in Soesterberg.
The rifle has an extra heavy barrel and has been converted from an automatic to a semi-automatic weapon system to be suitable for private use. I have only fired 50 cartridges with it myself.
There are enough cartridges and casings available. Of course, the rifle is only available with the appropriate firearms license.
The caliber is .308 / 7.62x51 NATO. Armalite had this rifle manufactured under license and improved by the Artillerie-Inrichtingen in Zaandam. It is considered the original form of all later AR-15 and M16 rifles produced in the millions for NATO countries.

Das Gewehr hat einen extra schweren Lauf und wurde von einem automatischen in ein halbautomatisches Waffensystem umgebaut, um für den privaten Gebrauch geeignet zu sein. Ich habe selbst nur 50 Patronen damit abgefeuert.
Es sind genügend Patronen und Hülsen verfügbar. Selbstverständlich ist das Gewehr nur mit einem entsprechenden Waffenschein erhältlich.
Das Kaliber beträgt .308 / 7.62x51 NATO. Armalite hat dieses Gewehr in Lizenz herstellen und von den Artillerie-Inrichtingen in Zaandam verbessern lassen. Es gilt als die Urform aller späteren, in Millionenhöhe produzierten AR-15 und M16-Gewehre für NATO-Länder.
