The handguard is made of a single piece of metal, just like the upper and lower receiver. On the top side, there is a continuous Picatinny rail with a length of about 27 cm.
On the underside of the handguard, as well as on the left and right sides, there is a Picatinny rail about 9.5 cm long for grips, for example.
The weapon features a quick-change barrel system, allowing the entire handguard to be completely separated from the weapon body, including the barrel and HopUp unit, with just two hand movements. To release the front set, the black block between the handguard and the weapon body must be pulled down, and the handguard must be turned to the left and pulled off in the direction of fire.
The rear sight can be flipped up and down. The front sight can also be simply flipped down if needed. A peep sight and a post sight were used. The rear sight can be adjusted horizontally, and the front sight vertically.
The Hop-Up is very easy to adjust and is located under the ejection port. By pulling the T-lever, the ejection port is retracted, exposing the Hop-Up.
The Ares M45 features a bolt catch, meaning the ejection port is held back when pulled back with the T-lever and is released with the release on the left side of the weapon, then automatically snaps back forward.
The fire selector lever can be operated from both the left and right sides. Each setting locks in place and is confirmed with a click.
The package includes three magazines: a short LowCap (about 54 shots), a nearly double-length MidCap (about 120 shots), and a HighCap (about 1300 shots). The stick magazines are modeled after 45. Cal Glock magazines.
Also included is a speed loader, which visually resembles a Glock pistol magazine, just like the magazines. The speed loader holds about 170 BBs.
The stock is foldable and can be adjusted in length in five increments. The end of the stock is rubberized. The battery fits in the stock tube and can be up to about 120 mm long and a maximum of 26 mm thick. If the battery or cable (Tamiya connector see image) protrudes slightly from the stock tube, it doesn't matter; the stock can still be pushed in.
It should be noted that the weapon cannot be fired when the stock is folded. Those who want to attach a sling will find a metal sling eye on the right side of the weapon, on the folding stock.
Under the threaded cap screwed onto the muzzle, there is a 16 mm right-hand thread.
Electronic Firing Control System (EFCS):
The quick-change spring system is quite easy to use. First, the stock is folded, then the cover is unscrewed with a 3 mm hex key. Underneath is the actual spring holder, which is screwed on with a 6 mm hex key. From here, be a bit careful, as the spring is under pressure. An approximately M100 CQB spring is installed, which can be replaced as desired.

(Show description in original language)Der Handschutz besteht, sowie der Upper und auch der Lower Receiver, je aus einem Stück Metall. Auf der Oberseite ist eine durchgehende Picatinny Schiene mit einer Länge von ca. 27 cm.
An der Unterseite des Handguard, sowie links und rechts befinden sich je eine ca. 9,5 cm lange Picatinny Schiene für z. B. Handgriffe.
Die Waffe verfügt über ein Wechsellaufsystem, der gesamte Handguard kann mit nur zwei Handgriffen vollständig inkl. Lauf und HopUp Unit vom Waffenkörper getrennt werden. Um das Frontset zu lösen, muss der schwarze Block zwischen Handguard und Waffenkörper heruntergezogen und der Handguard, in Schussrichtung, nach links gedreht und abgezogen werden.
Die Kimme kann um- und aufgeklappt werden. Das Korn wird ebenfalls bei Bedarf einfach umgeklappt. Verwendet wurden eine Lochkimme und ein Balkenkorn. Die Kimme kann Horizontal und das Korn Vertikal verstellt werden.
Das Hop-Up ist sehr einfach einzustellen und befindet sich unter dem Hülsenauswurffenster. Durch Ziehen des T-Hebels wird das Auswurffenster zurückgezogen und das Hop-Up freigelegt.
Die Ares M45 verfügt über einen Boltcatch, das bedeutet, das Hülsenauswurffenster wird hinten gehalten, wenn dieses mit dem T-Hebel nach hinten gezogen wurde und wird mit dem Release auf der linken Waffenseite wieder gelöst und schnellt dann selbstständig wieder nach vorn.
Der Feuerwahlhebel ist links- und rechtsseitig bedienbar. Jede Einstellung arretiert und wird mit einem click bestätigt.
Im Lieferumfang befinden sich drei Magazine, ein kurzes LowCap (ca. 54 Schusse), ein knapp doppelt so langes MidCap (ca.120 Schuss) und ein HighCap (ca. 1300 Schuss) . Die Stangenmagazine sind 45. Cal Glock Magazinen nachempfunden.
Ebenfalls im Lieferumfang befindet sich ein Speed-Loader, welcher wie die Magazine optisch an ein Glock Pistolenmagazin erinnert. Der Speed-Loader fasst ca. 170 BB´s.
Die Schulterstütze ist klappbar und fünffach in der Länge verstellbar. Das Schaftende ist gummiert. Der Akku findet seinen Platz in der Stocktube und kann eine Länge von bis zu ca. 120 mm und eine Dicke von max. 26 mm haben. Wenn der Akku bzw. das Kabel (Tamiya-Stecker siehe Bild) etwas über die Stocktube hinausschaut, macht das nichts, der Schaft lässt sich trotzdem einschieben.
Zu beachten ist, dass die Waffe nicht geschossen werden kann, wenn der Schaft umgeklappt ist. Wer einen Sling anbringen möchte findet auf der rechten Waffenseite, am Klappschaft, eine Sling-Öse aus Metall.
Unter der an der Mündung aufgeschraubten Gewindeschutzkappe ist ein 16 mm Rechtsgewinde zu finden.
Electronic Firing Control System (EFCS):
Das Federschnellwechselsystem ist recht einfach zu bedienen. Erst wird der Schaft umgeklappt, dann mit einem 3er Sechskantinnenschlüssel die Abdeckung los geschraubt. Darunter verbirgt sich die eigentliche Federhalterung die mit einem 6er Sechskantinnenschlüssel aufgeschraubt wird. Ab hier etwas vorsichtig sein, da die Feder unter Druck steht. Verbaut ist eine ca. M100 CQB Feder die nach Belieben ersetzt werden kann.
