Dry test is of course fine, what should break without use...
Over time, it has naturally experienced small scratches and minimal bumps - nothing serious, but should not go unmentioned for the sake of fairness. It has not been carried!
Gimmick on the side and unthinkable today: the steel cylinder is drilled in the center, i.e. without offset to the barrel. How this escaped the PTB is still a mystery to this day... Especially since the barrel lock is just a small bump...
Historical:
The revolver's design is based on Smith & Wesson models (K-Frame) – the RG69 is the blank-firing version of the sharp RG 39, which was manufactured and offered primarily by Röhm USA in .32 S&W long and .38 special starting in the 1960s.
The RG 69 (PTB 275) was sold in Germany starting in 1983.
The many steel components (cylinder, recoil shield, hammer, and lock parts) stand for reliability and durability.
Technical:
The revolver has a drop safety (Transfer-Bar), which only releases the connection between the hammer and firing pin when the trigger is pulled. Thus, safe handling is also possible with a loaded cylinder. The weapon has a double-action trigger but can also be fired with the hammer cocked (SA/DA trigger).

Trockentest natürlich ok, was sollte ohne Benutzung auch schon kaputt gehen…
Über die Zeit hat er natürlich kleine Kratzer und minimale Bestöße erfahren müssen - nichts wildes, soll aber der Fairness halber nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Wurde nicht geführt!
Gimmik am Rande und heute undenkbar: die Stahltrommel ist mittig, dh. ohne Versatz zum Lauf, gebohrt. Wie das der PTB entgangen sein konnte ist bis heute ein Rätsel… Zumal auch die Laufsperre nur ein kleiner Hubbel ist…
Geschichtliches:
Der Revolver lehnt sich im Design an Smith & Wesson-Modelle an (K-Frame) – der RG69 ist aber die Schreckschuss-version des scharfen RG 39 der ab den 1960ern in .32 S&W long sowie in .38 special vor allem bei Röhm USA hergestellt und angeboten wurde.
Der RG 69 (PTB 275) wurde ab 1983 in Deutschland verkauft.
Die vielen Bauteile aus Stahl (Trommel, Stoßboden Hahn und Schlossteile) stehen für Zuverlässigkeit und Langlebigkeit.
Technisches:
Der Revolver hat eine Fallsicherung (Transfer-Bar), welche die Verbindung Schlaghahn-Schlagbolzen erst bei Betätigung des Abzuges freigibt. Somit ist ein sicheres Führen auch mit geladener Trommel möglich. Die Waffe hat einen Spannabzug, kann aber auch mit vorgespanntem Hahn abgefeuert werden (SA/DA Abzug).
