The Merkel RX HELIX Lady DS is the hunting rifle designed from a woman's perspective: The butt plate has been adapted to female anatomy. A steep pistol grip allows for relaxed trigger operation even with small hands, and a heavily dampening butt plate absorbs recoil. Balanced weight for particularly pleasant shooting behavior. The straight stock is shorter and combined with a Monte Carlo cheek piece, with the butt plate sitting lower than the stock back. No compromises, instead perfect ergonomics for a quick, comfortable, and safe stance. Version: With muzzle thread M15x1 and removable sight. Translated straight pull The linear movement of the chamber handle is transmitted in a 1:2 ratio to the bolt head. It moves softly and quietly into the locking mechanism and back out again in a special Helix track system. The cycling path is translated: the fastest cycling is guaranteed. This benefits quicker target acquisition and thus the precise follow-up shot. Take Down The Helix was developed not only for hunting but also for the journey there. Merkel defines a new quality of take down. The magic word for the tool-free disassembly of a hunting weapon is take-down. With the Bolt-Barrel system, Merkel has perfected the classic take down and implemented it in series for the first time in this class. This rifle can be disassembled into a nearly briefcase-sized package in three simple steps. Even those with little experience can achieve this in a few seconds and bring the Helix to transport size. Safety of the shooter Safety is the good feeling of being able to pursue hunting carefree because the rifle itself offers the best conditions for safety. The Helix lock is an evolution of the classic rotating bolt lock—no other principle locks repeaters more securely. In the Merkel RX Helix, the rotating bolt lock is combined with the Helix principle to create a linear repeater. The lock is encapsulated at the rear for additional safety and against contamination. Unintentional shot release The manual safety of the RX Helix is located on the stock neck. It puts the system under tension only immediately before the shot with thumb pressure and can be just as easily relaxed again. Safe function Manual safety systems sometimes suffer from a lack of ignition energy. For the Helix, a patented hammer system with a joint-driven firing pin has been developed that delivers maximum ignition energy: for a safe shot release. Linear cycling Cycling while in stance is the king discipline of the quick follow-up shot. The Helix masters this discipline masterfully and combines the rotating bolt lock with true linear cycling in stance—without the slightest disturbing rotational or tilting movement as seen in other straight pull repeaters. The eye remains on the target, and the chamber handle is positioned exactly above the trigger. The straight stock, in the tradition of Merkel African rifles, provides the necessary support for this movement. Staying on target The bolt does not move beyond the stock neck towards the shooter's eye when cycling, which can disturb aiming in conventional systems. The movement in the Helix system occurs only within the system housing. The eye remains undisturbed on the target. Now for the second shot: triggered by a finely adjustable direct trigger with a dry characteristic—that is true ergonomics. Bolt Barrel System The revolution in the barrel. The Bolt Barrel System is behind the perfected Merkel take down: barrel, bolt head, and system are connected by a coupling mechanism that can be released with a single lever—tool-free. Cleaning the barrel and bolt is also made easy thanks to the Bolt Barrel System: remove the barrel, unscrew the bolt head—all parts are easily accessible and easy to clean.

Die Merkel RX HELIX Lady DS ist das Jagdgewehr aus der Perspektive der Frau gedacht: Die Schaftkappe wurde der weiblichen Anatomie angepasst. Ein steiler Pistolengriff ermöglicht die entspannte Bedienung des Abzugs auch mit kleinen Händen, eine stark dämpfende Schaftkappe nimmt den Rückstoß auf. Ausgewogene Balance für besonders angenehmes Schussverhalten. Der gerade Schaft ist kürzer und mit einer Monte-Carlo-Backe kombiniert, die Schaftkappe sitzt dabei tiefer als der Schaftrücken. Keine Kompromisse, stattdessen perfekte Ergonomie für den schnellen, komfortablen und sicheren Anschlag. Ausführung: Mit Mündungsgewinde M15x1 und abnehmbarer Visierung. Übersetzter Geradezug Die Linearbewegung des Kammergriffs wird im Verhältnis 1:2 auf den Verschlusskopf übertragen. Er fährt in einem speziellen System der Helixspur weich und leise in die Verriegelung – und auch wieder heraus. Der Repetierweg ist dabei übersetzt: Schnellstes Repetieren garantiert. Das kommt der schnelleren Zielerfassung und damit dem präzisen Folgeschuss zugute. Take Down Die Helix wurde nicht nur für die Jagd, sondern auch für den Weg dorthin entwickelt. Merkel definiert eine neue Qualität des take down. Das Zauberwort für das werkzeuglose Zerlegen einer Jagdwaffe heißt take-down. Mit dem Bolt-Barrel -System hat Merkel das klassische take down perfektioniert und erstmals in dieser Klasse in Serie umgesetzt. Dieses Gewehr lässt sich in drei Handgriffen nahezu auf Aktentaschen-Packmaß zerlegen. Auch wenig Geübte schaffen das in wenigen Sekunden – und bringen die Helix auf Transportmaße. Sicherheit des Schützen Sicherheit ist das gute Gefühl, unbeschwert der Jagd nachgehen zu können – weil das Gewehr selbst beste Voraussetzungen für Sicherheit bietet. Der Helixverschluss ist eine Weiterentwicklung des klassischen Drehkopfverschlusses – kein anderes Prinzip verriegelt Repetierer sicherer. Bei der Merkel RX Helix wird der Drehkopfverschluss mit dem Helixprinzip zum linearen Repetierer kombiniert. Der Verschluss ist für zusätzliche Sicherheit und gegen Verschmutzung nach hinten gekapselt. Ungewollte Schussauslösung Der Handspanner der RX Helix, sitzt auf dem Kolbenhals. Er setzt das System auf Daumendruck erst unmittelbar vor dem Schuss unter Spannung – und er lässt sich genauso leicht wieder entspannen. Sichere Funktion Handspannersysteme leiden zuweilen unter einem Zündenergie-Defizit. Für die Helix wurde ein patentiertes Hahnsystem mit einem gelenkgetriebenen Schlagstück entwickelt, das maximale Zündenergie liefert: Für eine sichere Auslösung des Schusses. Lineares Repetieren Das Repetieren im Anschlag ist die Königsdisziplin des schnellen Folgeschusses. Die Helix beherrscht diese Disziplin meisterhaft und kombiniert den Drehkopfverschluss mit echtem linearen Repetieren im Anschlag – ohne die geringste störende Dreh- oder Kippbewegung wie bei anderen Geradezugrepetierern. Das Auge bleibt im Ziel, der Kammergriff liegt exakt über dem Abzug. Der gerade Schaft in der Tradition der Merkel Afrikabüchsen gibt dieser Bewegung den nötigen Halt. Im Ziel bleiben Der Verschluss bewegt sich beim Repetieren nicht über den Kolbenhals hinaus auf das Auge des Schützen zu, was bei konventionellen Systemen das Zielen stört. Die Bewegung findet beim Helixsystem nur innerhalb des Systemgehäuses statt. Das Auge bleibt ungestört im Ziel. Jetzt der zweite Schuss: Ausgelöst von einem fein justierbaren Direktabzug mit trockener Charakteristik – das ist echte Ergonomie. Bolt Barrel System Die Revolution im Lauf. Das Bolt Barrel System steht hinter dem perfektionierten Merkel take down: Lauf, Verschlusskopf und System sind durch eine Kupplungsmechanik verbunden, die durch einen einzelnen Hebel gelöst werden kann – werkzeuglos. Auch die Reinigung von Lauf und Verschluss wird dank des Bolt Barrel Systems zum Kinderspiel: Lauf abnehmen, Verschlusskopf herausdrehen – alle Teile sind leicht zugänglich und gut zu reinigen.
