High Standard Firearms was an American manufacturer of firearms based in Houston, Texas. The company was founded in 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut, as a supplier for the numerous firearms companies in the Connecticut Valley. The company was based in New Haven from 1932 to 1945 and then moved to the suburb of Hamden, where it continued to manufacture firearms from 1946 to 1977.
High Standard match pistols were produced in a variety of models in .22 Short and .22 Long Rifle cartridges for competitive shooting. This pistol is equipped with a 7.25-inch rifled barrel. A plus is the similarity in grip angle and handling to the Colt M1911A1 series. This variant Mod. 106 (military stamped) was manufactured during World War II; the High Standard pistol was used as the basis for the high standard. The military model was used by the Office of Strategic Services and later by the US military and CIA. They were manufactured from 1965 to 1968, and the 106 Military series was offered in five different models: Supermatic Tournament, Supermatic Citation, Supermatic Trophy, and two "Olympic" models. The base model of the entry-level pistol was the Tournament, the mid-range model was the Citation, and the Trophy was the top model.

High Standard Firearms war ein amerikanischer Hersteller von Schusswaffen mit Sitz in Houston , Texas . Das Unternehmen wurde 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut , als Zulieferer für die zahlreichen Schusswaffenunternehmen im Connecticut Valley gegründet. Das Unternehmen war von 1932 bis 1945 in New Haven ansässig und wurde dann in den Vorort Hamden verlegt, wo es von 1946 bis 1977 weiterhin Schusswaffen herstellte.
High Standard Match Pistolen wurden in einer Vielzahl von Modelle im .22 Kurz und .22 Long Rifle Patronen für den sportlichen Wettbewerb hergestellt. Diese Pistole ist mit einem 7,25-Zoll-geriffelten Lauf ausgestattet. Ein Pluspunkt ist die Ähnlichkeit in Griffwinkel und die Handlage zum Colt M1911A1 -Serie. Diese Variante Mod. 106 ( Military gestempelt) wurde während des Zweiten Weltkriegs hergestellt High Standard Pistole wurde als Grundlage für den hohen Standard verwendet. Das militärischen Modell wurde durch das Office of Strategic Services und später dem US-Militär und CIA verwendet.
