Handguard for the AKM (possibly PM md. 63). Relatively slim silhouette and flat relief.
Apparently quite old. At first, I thought due to the color that it might be a Chinese part, but the very shallow curvature (palmswell) clearly indicates Romanian production. It also seems that the wood is not Chu Wood, but solid beech with a shellac coating.
The original spacer spring is unfortunately missing here, but I still have a suitable one lying around somewhere. I can gladly send it to you at no extra charge.
Condition:
Very good for its age.
Minor paint chips. Light superficial heat marks on the rear. Otherwise, excellent stable substance without cracks, breaks, rust, or significant signs of use.
Notes:
The component is overall rather light brown with a slight hint of red and orange (for those who value such things).
In the last picture, you can see the handguard together with the others.
Can also be fitted for Saiga/AK-100/AK74. The mounting at the rear has dimensions of 32 x 12 mm.

Kompletter Handschutz für die AKM (wahrscheinlich PM md. 63 oder WASR). Relativ schlanke Silhouette und flaches Relief.
Farbe: hell-rötliches Haselnuss Braun.
Zunächst dachte ich auf Grund der Farbe, es könne sich um ein chinesisches Teil handeln, aber die sehr seicht ausgeprägte Wölbung (Palmswell) spricht klar für eine rumänische Produktion. Auch scheint es sich bei dem Holz nicht um Chu Wood, sondern um massive Buche mit Shellack Überzug zu handeln. Selbes gilt für den oberen Handschutz.
Beim unteren Handschutz ist keine Feder dabei. Eine Feder konnte man auch nicht einfach anbringen kann, da die seitlichen Schlitze nicht sauber ausgefräst waren, was noch mehr für eine rumänische Produktion spricht. Ich habe dies mittlerweile aber gekonnt und präzise nachgeholt - er nimmt nun Federn auf.
Passt auch an Yunker, aber nicht ohne Modifikation an Cybergun (da diese eine massigere Rearsight Base hat).
Zustand:
Dem Alter entsprechend sehr gut.
Kleinere Lackabplatzer beim unteren Handschutz. Am Heck leichte oberflächliche Hitzespuren. Ansonsten hervorragend stabile Substanz ohne Risse, Brüche, Rost oder arge Gebrauchsspuren.
Anmerkungen:
Das Bauteil ist im Gesamtbild eher Hellbraun mit einem leichten Hauch von Rot und Orange (für diejenigen die Wert auf so etwas legen).
Auf dem letzten Bild kann man den Handschutz zusammen mit den anderen "Rumänen" betrachten.
Die Halterung am Heck hat die Maße 32 x 12 mm.
Preis ist Verhandlungssache, auch einem Tauschgeschäft wäre ich nicht abgeneigt.
