Handguard for the Romanian AKM variants PM md.63, PM md.90 AIMR, AIMS etc.
Quite hefty and noticeably heavier than a normal laminated wood handguard. It operates more comfortably than the Underfolder Dong, provided that one uses a 45° tacticool grip with the support hand, following the American model.
Laminated wood with an apparent shellac coating. Essential for a "Leningrad slide rule" (Eastern Bloc counterpart to the Chicago Typewriter).
Condition:
Very good, considering its age.
Occasional small paint chips. In the rear area, there are slight superficial heat marks. Otherwise, excellent stable material without cracks, breaks, rust, or significant signs of wear.
Notes:
The component is rather dark overall and should therefore match well with a Polish upper laminate handguard (for those who value such things).
In the last four pictures, the handguard can be seen together with the others.
It can also be fitted for Saiga/AK-100/AK74. The mount at the rear has dimensions of 32 x 12 mm.

Recht wuchtig und deutlich mehr Gewicht als ein normaler Schichtholz Handschutz. Lässt sich angenehmer operieren als der Underfolder Dong, sofern man nach amerikanischem Vorbild mit der Führungshand einen 45° tacticool Griff anwendet.
Schichtholz mit augenscheinlichem Shellack Überzug. Unabdingbar für einen "Leningrader-Rechenschieber" (Ostblock Pendant zur Chicago Typewriter).
Zustand:
Dem Alter entsprechend sehr gut.
Vereinzelt kleinere Lackabplatzer. Im hinteren Bereich leichte oberflächliche Hitzespuren. Ansonsten hervorragend stabile Substanz ohne Risse, Brüche, Rost oder arge Gebrauchsspuren.
Anmerkungen:
Das Bauteil ist im Gesamtbild eher dunkel und sollte daher gut zu einem polnischen oberen Laminat-Handschutz passen (für diejenigen die Wert auf so etwas legen).
Auf den letzten vier Bildern kann man den Handschutz zusammen mit den anderen betrachten.
Kann auch für Saiga/AK-100/AK74 eingepasst werden. Die Halterung am Heck hat die Maße 32 x 12 mm.
Preis ist Verhandlungssache, auch einem Tauschgeschäft wäre ich nicht abgeneigt.
