Handguard for the Romanian AKM variants PM md.63, PM md.90 AIMR, AIMS etc.
Quite hefty and noticeably heavier than a normal laminated wood handguard. It operates more comfortably than the Underfolder Dong, provided that one uses a 45° tacticool grip with the support hand, following the American model.
Laminated wood with an apparent shellac coating. Essential for a "Leningrad slide rule" (Eastern Bloc counterpart to the Chicago Typewriter).
Condition:
Very good, considering its age.
Occasional small paint chips. In the rear area, there are slight superficial heat marks. Otherwise, excellent stable material without cracks, breaks, rust, or significant signs of wear.
Notes:
The component is rather dark overall and should therefore match well with a Polish upper laminate handguard (for those who value such things).
In the last four pictures, the handguard can be seen together with the others.
It can also be fitted for Saiga/AK-100/AK74. The mount at the rear has dimensions of 32 x 12 mm.

Recht wuchtig und deutlich mehr Gewicht als ein normaler Schichtholz Handschutz.
Schichtholz mit Shellack Überzug. Unabdingbar für einen "Leningrader-Rechenschieber" (Ostblock Pendant zur Chicago Typewriter).
Passt auch an AK74 / AK-100 und Yunker, aber nicht ohne Modifikation an gefräste AK47 oder GSG Cybergun (da diese eine massigere Rearsight Base hat).
Nicht geeignet für Unterlauf-Klappschaft !
Zustand:
Dem Alter entsprechend sehr gut.
Vereinzelt kleinere Lackabplatzer. Im hinteren Bereich leichte oberflächliche Hitzespuren. Ansonsten hervorragend stabile Substanz ohne Risse, Brüche, Rost oder arge Gebrauchsspuren. Feder ist vorhanden und wird mitgeliefert.
Anmerkungen:
Das Bauteil ist im Gesamtbild etwas dunklerer als der AKMS Dong den ich eben so drin hab (für diejenigen die Wert auf so etwas legen). Auf den letzten beiden Bildern kann man zum Farbvergleich den Handschutz zusammen mit dem AKMS Dong betrachten.
Die Halterung am Heck hat die Maße 32 x 12 mm.
Bitte verschlucken Sie sich nicht an dem etwas obszön wirkenden Fachausdruck "Esel-Pimmel" -> Dies ist die korrekte rumänische Bezeichnung für dieses Bauteil und wir sind hier auch nicht in der Kirche.
