Description:
Very rare component and essential for the classic AKS-74 look.
According to the angle and the holes, it appears to be a 5.5 mm folding stock.
Due to the crude workmanship, I suspect it comes from the Tula factory.
On the piece, both welds that connect the hinge to the steel rails are broken and need to be renewed. It has, by eye measurement, the correct angle and hole diameter (compared to my intact 5.5 mm Saiga stock). The surface treatment appears to be Russian weapon lacquer, which also looks like it comes from Tula.
Condition: Damaged but not destroyed.
What the poor stock suffered at the hands of the previous owner, I can only guess. Fortunately, both welds are cleanly broken, and I can't find any rust anywhere. The hinge also looks completely fine.
Therefore, nothing stands in the way of a repair; one would just need to re-weld it cleanly and then repaint the whole thing.

Sehr selten gewordenes Bauteil und unabdingbar für den klassischen AKS-74 Look.
Dem Neigungswinkel und den Bohrungen nach augenscheinlich ein 5.5 mm Klappschaft.
Auf Grund der kruden Verarbeitung vermute ich er stammt aus dem Tula Werk.
bei dem Stück sind beide Schweißnähte die das Scharnier mit den Stahl-Leisten verbinden, gebrochen und müssten erneuert werden. Er hat verglichen nach Augenmaß den korrekten Neigungswinkel und Bohrungsdurchmesser (verglichen mit meinem intakten 5.5 mm Saiga Schaft). Bei der Oberflächenbehandlung handelt es sich augenscheinlich nach um russischen Waffenlack, der mir eben so nach Tula aussieht.
Zustand: Beschädigt aber nicht zerstört.
Was dem armen Schaft vom Vorbesitzer angetan wurde kann ich nur erahnen. Glücklicherweise sind jedoch beide Schweißnähte sauber gebrochen und Rost kann ich nirgends entdecken. Das Scharnier sieht auch völlig in Ordnung aus .
Einer Reparatur stünde demnach Nichts im Wege, man müsste eben nur die Schweißnaht neu und sauber setzen, und das ganze anschließend wieder lackieren.
