The Savage 110 Ultralite Elite lives up to its name - an ultralight weapon with the best features. Ultimately a collaboration of three big names in the industry, the weapon is based on the well-known and proven system of the Savage 110 with the secure two-lug bolt and the reliable extractor. The stock comes from MDT, the market leader in aluminum chassis, but instead of the usual materials, the chassis is made from a magnesium alloy while the forend, pistol grip, and the folding buttstock are made from laminated carbon fiber. Proof Research provides the barrel, which is of course extremely lightweight and reinforced with wrapped carbon fiber in line with the overall concept - this construction offers a light weight but excellent vibration behavior and rapid heat dissipation.
The overall package is impressive - depending on the caliber, the complete weapon weighs only about 2.6kg!
The whole thing is rounded off by various features, such as the diamond-fluted bolt which, like the system, is made from stainless steel and coated with Cerakote "Blackout". The magnesium chassis is also coated with Cerakote, with "Gun Metal Grey" chosen here. The barrel is also made from stainless steel, making the entire weapon extremely corrosion-resistant, easy to maintain, and low-wear despite the modern and lightweight materials.
The stock is foldable, features an adjustable butt pad and cheek rest, and is foam-filled. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail is installed as standard, and the forend features M-LOK interfaces and an ARCA rail. QD mounts can be found on both sides of the stock and the handguard. MDT is known for its AICS magazine compatible chassis, and the installed HNT26 is no exception - but in line with the weapon's intended use, a flush-fitting 3-round magazine is included. However, the usual long "boxes" can also be used.

Die Savage 110 Ultralite Elite macht ihrem Namen alle Ehre - eine ultraleichte Waffe mit den besten Ausstattungsmerkmalen. Ultimativ eine Zusammenarbeit von Drei großen Namen der Branche basiert die Waffe auf dem bekannten und bewährten System der Savage 110 mit dem sicheren Zwei-Warzen-Verschluss und dem zuverlässigen Auszieher. Der Schaft stammt von MDT, dem Marktführer für Aluminiumchassis, aber anstelle der üblichen Materialien ist das Chassis aus einer Magnesiumlegierung gefertigt während Vorderschaft, Pistolengriff und der klappbare Hinterschaft aus laminierter Karbonfaser hergestellt werden. Proof Research stellt den Lauf und der ist natürlich dem Gesamtkonzept entsprechend extrem leicht und mit gewickelter Karbonfaser verstärkt - diese Konstruktion bietet ein leichtes Gewicht aber ein hervorragendes Schwingungsverhalten und schnelle Wärmableitung.
Das Gesamtpaket kann sich sehen lassen - je nach Kaliber wiegt die komplette Waffe nur ca. 2,6kg!
Abgerundet wird das Ganze natürlich noch durch verschiedene Features, wie den diamantgefluteten Verschluss welcher wie das System aus stainless steel gefertigt und mit Cerakote "Blackout" beschichtet wurde. Ebenfalls mit Cerakote beschichtet ist das Magnesiumchassis, hier wurde "Gun Metal Grey" gewählt. Und auch der Lauf ist aus stainless steel gefertigt, somit ist die komplette Waffe trotz der modernen und leichten Materialien äußerst korrosionsresistent, pflegeleicht und verschleißarm.
Der Schaft ist klappbar, verfügt über eine einstellbare Schaftkappe und Wangenauflage und ist schaumgefüllt. Eine 20 MOA Picatinnyschiene ist ab Werk installiert und der Vorderschaft verfügt über M-LOK Schnittstellen und eine ARCA-Schiene. QD-Aufnahmen finden sich beidseitig im Schaft und dem Handschutz. MDT ist bekannt für seine AICS-Magazin kompatiblen Chassis und auch das verbaute HNT26 macht hier keine Ausnahme - aber dem Einsatzzweck der Waffe entsprechend wird ein bündig abschließendes 3-Schuss Magazin mitgeliefert. Die üblichen langen "Kästen" können aber auch verwendet werden.
