The Fortmeier Wechselsystem M2002 is designed for the modular precision rifle and suitable for the ambitious long-range shooter. In caliber .338 Lapua Magnum, it offers an affordable training opportunity... at least compared to the .50 BMG of the M2002. It can be changed quickly and without tools. The cold-forged barrel by Heym has a standard length of 820mm and is fluted in the front area. Together with the fore-end/carry handle, sight rail, and bipod, the WS forms a unit that is slid onto and locked into the grip. Since the barrel and sight rail are firmly connected, re-zeroing after disassembly or caliber change is not necessary. The bipod corresponds to the well-known Fortmeier bipods but is mounted concentrically to the barrel axis, making the weapon extremely stable in position. It can be adjusted in height in several stages, can be rotated around the barrel axis, and fixed.

Das Fortmeier Wechselsystem M2002 ist ausgelegt für das modular aufgebaute Präzisionsgewehr und geeignet für den ambitionierten Long Range Schützen. Im Kaliber .338 Lapua Magnum bietet es eine günstige Trainingsmöglichkeit.... zumindest im Vergleich mit der .50 BMG des M2002. Es lässt sich schnell und ohne Werkzeuge zu wechseln. Der von Heym kaltgeschmiedete Lauf hat eine Standardlänge von 820mm und ist im vorderen Bereich geflutet. Zusammen mit dem Vorderschaft/Tragegriff, Visierschiene und Zweibein bildet das WS eine Einheit, die auf das Griffstück geschoben und arretiert wird. Da Lauf und Visierschiene fest miteinander verbunden sind, ist ein erneutes einschießen nach einem zerlegen oder Kaliberwechsel nicht nötig. Das Zweibein entspricht den bekannten Fortmeier Zweibeinen aber ist zentrisch zur Laufachse angebracht, wodurch die Waffe äußerst stabil im Anschlag liegt. Es lässt sich in mehreren Stufen in der Höhe verstellen, kann um die Laufachse gedreht und fixiert werden.
