The Magpul MOE M-LOK Hand Guard for Carbine Length systems is a modular and ergonomically excellent handguard for AR15 variants with fixed front sight base and classic handguard attachment. It may seem like a relic from the past, but back then, before the rise of the "free float" AR15 which has now become the standard for nearly all manufacturers, the MOE from Magpul offered something that was unheard of - a modularity that the standard round M4/M16 handguard did not provide, but at a significantly lower weight than the commonly used "Quad Rails" at the time - and with significantly better ergonomics than both alternatives. Even today, this relic from the early 2000s offers a much better feel than a pure aluminum handguard.
The MOE M-LOK Hand Guard is split into two parts and can therefore be easily tensioned in the Delta Ring of an AR15; the lower end can also be omitted if accessories such as an M203 grenade launcher are installed, which is of course rather atypical in civilian use. The M-LOK interfaces are located at 2, 6 & 10 o'clock. A heat shield is permanently riveted to the handguard, and a "lip" on the lower handguard as well as protruding "ears" on the upper handguard prevent direct contact with the possibly heated front sight base.

Der Magpul MOE M-LOK Hand Guard für Carbine Length Systeme ist ein modularer und ergonomisch hervorragender Handschutz für AR15-Varianten mit festen Kornsockel und klassischer Handschutz-Befestigung. Es mutet inzwischen wie graue Vorzeit an, aber damals, vor dem Aufkommen der "free float" AR15 welche inzwischen bei nahezu allen Herstellern den Standard darstellen, bot der MOE von Magpul etwas, was unerhört war - eine Modularität wie sie der normale runde M4/M16 Handschutz nicht bot aber bei deutlich geringerem Gewicht als die damals verbreiteten "Quad Rails" - und einer deutlich besseren Ergonomie als beide Alternativen. Selbst heutzutage bietet dieses Relikt aus den frühen 2000er Jahren eine deutlich bessere Haptik als ein reiner Aluminiumhandschutz.
Der MOE M-LOK Hand Guard ist zweigeteilt und kann daher einfach in den Delta Ring einer AR15 gespannt werden, das untere Ende kann auch weggelassen werden, falls Zubehör wie ein M203 Granatwerfer installiert wird, was natürlich in zivilen Gebrauch eher untypisch ist. Die M-LOK Schnittstellen befinden sich auf 2, 6 & 10 Uhr. Ein Hitzeschutzblech ist fest mit dem Handschutz vernietet und eine "Lippe" am unteren Handschutz sowie vorgezogene "Ohren" am oberen Handschutz verhindern einen direkten Kontakt mit dem evtl. heißgeschossenen Kornträger.

Dieser Handschutz ist für AR15 Varianten mit festen Kornträger/Gasabnahme (A2 Korn) und Delta Ring gedacht. NICHT für freischwingende Varianten!
