The Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 Type 1 grip is a pistol grip for AR15 rifles and compatible lower receivers. The grip features significantly improved ergonomics compared to most standard grips and can be customized to the shooter through interchangeable inserts at the grip's belly and back. The grip has an aggressive texture to ensure a secure hold. Additionally, the grip can accommodate various inserts to store accessories. Compared to Gen 1, the retention of the inserts has been improved, and a standard insert is included that serves as a holder for an accompanying 1/2 oz. (approx. 15ml) oil bottle. All other Magpul grip inserts can be used.
Two variants of the Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 Grip are available:
Type 1 has inserts for the grip back that are optimized for the AR15. Normally, this grip can also be mounted on all AR10s, but there may be a small gap between the beavertail of the grip back and the housing - this gap does not affect functionality, but if it bothers you, there is...
Type 2 has inserts for the grip back that are slightly longer than those of Type 1. This makes the grip optimized for use with certain AR10s, but the grip backs with beavertail CANNOT be used on AR15s or certain AR10s.
It should also be noted that on many bolt-action rifles with AR grip interfaces, the beavertails cannot be used regardless of the version, as the transition from the grip to the housing is shaped differently than in AR systems.
If no beavertail is installed, there are no compatibility issues.

Der Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 Type 1 Griff ist ein Pistolengriff für AR15Gewehre und kompatible Griffstücke. Der Griff verfügt über eine deutlich verbesserte Ergonomie gegenüber den meisten Standardgriffen und kann durch wechselbare Einlagen am Griffbauch und -rücken an den Schützen angepasst werden. Der Griff verfügt über eine aggressive Textur um eine sichere Handlage zu gewährleisten.
Zudem kann der Griff versch. Einsätze aufnehmen um Zubehör zu verstauen. Im Vergleich zur Gen 1 wurde die Arretierung der Einlagen verbessert und als Standard wird ein Einsatz mitgeliefert der einem beileigenden, 1/2 oz. (ca. 15ml) fassenden, Ölfläschchen als Halterung dient. Es können alle anderen Magpul Griffeinsätze verwendet werden.
Von dem Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 Grip sind Zwei Varianten erhältlich:
Type 1 besitzt Einlagen für den Griffrücken, die für die AR15 optimiert sind. Normalerweise kann dieser Griff auch an allen AR10 montiert werden aber es kann eine kleinen Spalt zwischen dem Beavertail des Griffrückens und dem Gehäuse geben - dieser Spalt beeinträchtigt die Funktion nicht aber wen er stört für den gibt es...
Type 2 besitzt Einlagen für den Griffrücken, welche etwas länger als jene des Type 1 sind. Damit ist der Griff auf die Verwendung mit gewissen AR10 optimiert aber die Griffrücken mit Beavertail können NICHT an AR15 oder gewissen AR10 verwendet werden.
Es ist auch zu beachten, dass bei vielen Repetierbüchsen mit AR-Griffaufnahme die Beavertails unabhängig von der Version NICHT verwendet werden können, da bei solchen Waffen der Übergang vom Griff zum Gehäuse anders geformt ist als bei AR-Systemen.
Wird kein Beavertail verbaut gibt es keine Kompatiblitätsprobleme.
