The Savage 110 Hog Hunter 2.0 is a versatile, compact hunting rifle. As part of the 110 model series, it is one of the most refined bolt-action systems on the market. Robust, reliable, and precise.
As the second generation of this variant, the Hog Hunter 2.0 features an updated stock, the AccuStock, with a green finish and a speckled texture that enhances grip. The stock length can be adjusted with spacers, and the system is bedded in an aluminum block - both ensure good and, above all, repeatable precision. The barrel and action are traditionally blued. The barrel with a "Semi Weight" profile is equipped with a muzzle thread and is quite compact at 42cm in length - excellent for use with suppressors or during driven hunts. The grooves and lands are neither hammered nor cut but "pressed" (button rifled) - a guarantee for excellent precision. Like all 110 models, the rifle features a three-position safety with a chamber lock. The adjustable Accutrigger also has an automatic safety and is adjustable from approximately 900g to 2,700g trigger weight. The detachable magazine is flush with the stock, and the magazine release lever is integrated into the stock to prevent accidental activation. For scope mounting, a continuous Picatinny rail is factory-installed.

Why is this rifle in our young hunter program? The Savage 110 is a proven platform, reliable and robust. Due to its wide distribution and long production history, the accessory market is also very well equipped. The three-position safety with chamber lock provides a new shooter with the safety and reliability they need. The Accutrigger is reliable and optimally set - it can be adjusted by the shooter, but in our experience, this is usually not necessary. Savage barrels are known for their precision; they are generally not sensitive to ammunition - especially as a young hunter, it is important to trust your barrel and not have a diva that requires a special diet. We recommend the caliber .308 Winchester for young hunters - an all-rounder with a huge selection of ammunition.

Die Savage 110 Hog Hunter 2.0 ist ein universelles, kompaktes Jagdgewehr. Als Teil der 110 Modellreihe handelt es sich um eines der ausgereiftesteten Repetiersysteme auf dem Markt. Robust, zuverlässig und präzise.
Als Zweite Generation dieser Variante verfügt die Hog Hunter 2.0 über einen überarbeiteten Schaft, den AccuStock, mit grünen Finish und einer gesprenkelten Texturierung, welche die Griffigkeit erhöht. Die Schaftlänge kann durch Zwischenlagen angepasst werden, das System ist in einem Aluminiumblock gebettet - beides sorgt für eine gute und vor allem wiederholgenaue Präzision. Lauf und System sind klassisch brüniert. Der Lauf mit "Semi Weight" Profil ist mit einem Mündungsgewinde versehen und mit 42cm Länge recht kompakt - hervorragend geeignet für den Einsatz mit Schalldämpfern oder auf der Drückjagd. Züge und Felder sind weder gehämmert noch geschnitten sondern "gedrückt" (button rifled) - ein Garant für hervorragende Präzision. Wie alle 110 Modelle verfügt die Waffe über eine Dreistellungssicherung mit Kammersperre. Der einstellbare Accutrigger verfügt zusätzlich noch über eine automatische Sicherung und ist verstellbar von ca. 900g bis 2.700g Abzugsgewicht. Das wechselbare Magazin schließt mit dem Schaft ab, der Magazinlösehebel ist im Schaft eingearbeitet um ein unbeabsichtigtes Betätigen zu vermeiden. Und für die Zielfernrohrmontage ist ab Werk eine durchgehende Picatinnyschiene montiert.

Die Savage 110 ist eine bewährte Plattform, zuverlässig und robust. Durch die weite Verbreitung und lange Produktionsgeschichte ist auch der Zubehörmarkt sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Dreistellungssicherung mit Kammersperre bietet einem neuen Schützen die Sicherheit und Zuverlässigkeit, die er benötigt. Der Accutrigger ist zuverlässig und optimal eingestellt - er kann vom Schützen angepasst werden aber das ist in unserer Erfahrung eigtl. nicht notwendig. Die Läufe von Savage sind bekannt für Ihre Präzision, sie sind in der Regel nicht munitionsfühlig - gerade als Jungjäger ist es wichtig, wenn man seinem Lauif trauen kann und dieser keine Diva ist, die eine spezielle Diät benötigt. Wir empfehlen für Jungjäger das Kaliber .308 Winchester - ein Allrounder mit einer riesigen Munitionsauswahl.
