The Unity Tactical FAST Micro Mount raises the optical axis of sights with an Aimpoint Micro compatible footprint to approximately 57-61mm (2.26"). This not only corresponds to current shooting concepts that emphasize a straight, relaxed head position for more dynamic shooting disciplines but also provides "tall guys" with a more comfortable shooting position. For the hunter, the raised optical axis is advantageous when using night vision goggles. The mount is also extended forward to sit on the housing of an AR15 while still giving valuable cm forward to the optic, allowing magnification modules to sit further forward, which is of course also beneficial for our tall shooters and simplifies the use with night vision goggles.
A special feature is the integrated BUIS. The aperture sight is adjustable on the side and sits at the AR15 standard height for BUIS. The front sight can be easily removed so that the aperture can be used with an existing (folding) front sight and is adjustable in height.
Made from 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard anodized, the mount is lightweight yet very robust. The bolted clamping jaws can be replaced with an upgradeable QD lever. We recommend using this riser with sights from the Aimpoint Micro family, but other optics such as the Oberland Arms Sharp Sight or SigSauer Romeo4 also meet the corresponding mounting standard.
What is actually "co-witness"?
"Co-witness" refers to the possibility that the optical axis of a red dot sight and a standard sighting system are at the same height, allowing both to be used simultaneously. On the AR platform, this height is approximately 3.5cm (1.4"). Since this sight height is considered somewhat too low for dynamic disciplines and the field of view of the red dot sight is significantly restricted with a fixed or flipped-up sight, the currently most used standard is the "1/3 co-witness," which states that the standard sighting system is located approximately in the lower third of the field of view of the primarily used red dot sight. Depending on the manufacturer, there are slight variations, but this sight height is around 37-41mm (1.5"-1.63"). The Unity Tactical FAST Optical Riser is designed for this sight height.

Der Unity Tactical FAST Micro Mount hebt die optische Achse von Visieren mit Aimpoint Micro kompatiblen footprint auf ca. 57-61mm (2,26") an. Dies entspricht nicht nur den aktuellen Schießkonzepten, welche für dynamischere Schießdisziplinen eine gerade, unverkrampfte Kopfhaltung hervorheben, sondern verhilft auch "langen Kerls" zu einem bequemeren Anschlag. Für den Jäger ist die erhöhte optische Achse von Vorteil, wenn mit Nachtsichtbrillen gearbeitet wird. Die Montage ist zudem nach vorne verlängert, um bei einer AR15 auf dem Gehäuse zu sitzen aber dennoch der Optik wertvolle cm nach vorne zu geben, wodurch auch Vergrößerungsmodule weiter vorne sitzen können was natürlich auch positiv für unsere hochgeschossenen Schützen ist und die Verwendung mit Nachtsichtbrillen vereinfacht.
Eine Besonderheit ist das integrierte BUIS. Die Lochkimme ist in der Seite einstellbar und sitzt auf der AR15 Standard Höhe für BUIS. Das Korn kann einfach entfernt werden, damit die Kimme mit einem vorhanden (Klapp)korn verwendet werden kann und ist in der Höhe einstellbar.
Gefertigt aus 7075-T6 Aluminium und Type III hart eloxiert ist die Montage leicht aber sehr robust. Die verschraubten Klemmbacken können durch einen nachrüstbaren QD-Hebel getauscht werden. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung dieses Risers mit Visieren der Aimpoint Micro Familie aber auch andere Optiken wie das Oberland Arms Sharp Sight oder SigSauer Romeo4 weisen den entsprechenden Montagestandard auf.
Was ist eigtl. "co-witness"?
"co-witness" bezeichnet die Möglichkeit, dass sich die optische Achse eines Leuchtpunktvisieres und einer normalen Visierung auf gleicher Höhe befinden, also beide gleichzeitig genutzt werden können. Bei der AR-Plattform beträgt diese Höhe ca. 3,5cm (1,4"). Da diese Visierhöhe für dynamische Disziplinen als etwas zu niedrig betrachtet wird und bei starrer oder aufgeklappter Visierung das Sichtfeld des Leuchtpunktvisieres stark eingeschränkt wird, ist der aktuell meistverwendete Standard das
"1/3 co-witness" welches besagt, dass die normale Visierung sich ca. im unteren Drittel des Sichtfeldes des primär verwendeten Leuchtpunktvisieres befindet. Je nach Hersteller gibt es leichte Abweichungen aber diese Visierhöhe bewegt sich bei ca. 37-41mm (1,5"-1,63"). Der Unity Tactical FAST Optical Riser ist für diese Visierhöhe ausgelegt.
