The Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor 140gr HPBT in the American Gunner load is a precise match cartridge, delivered in a bulk pack of 200 rounds for the ambitious shooter. The American Gunner series offers solid, reliable loads at a fair price and combines, with the 140gr BTHP bullet, a stable match bullet and a reliable hunting bullet for predators and pests at long distances.
With a ballistic coefficient of .580 (G1) and an elongated ogive as well as a boat tail, the heavy bullet is only surpassed ballistically by the ELD projectiles. The relatively high weight for this caliber ensures good sectional density and energy retention, while the boat tail provides solid aerodynamics even at long distances when the bullet drops into the subsonic range. The construction is classic with a tombak jacket and lead core, the components are not bonded and therefore not recommended for heavy game, although it would be suitable for large game with approximately 2,700J at 100m.

Die American Gunner Serie bietet solide, zuverlässige Laborierungen zu einem fairen Preis und vereint, mit dem 140gr BTHP-Geschoss, ein stabiles Matchgeschoss und ein zuverlässiges Jagdgeschoss auf Raubwild und Schädlinge für hohe Entfernungen.
Mit einem ballistischen Koeffizienten von .580 (G1) und einer langgestreckten Ogive sowie einem Torpedoheck, wird das schwere Geschoss ballistisch nur noch von den ELD-Projektilen übertroffen. Das relativ hohe Gewicht für dieses Kaliber sorgt für eine gute Querschnittsbelastung und Energieerhaltung, das Torpedoheck für eine solide Aerodynamik auch auf große Entfernungen, wenn das Geschoss in den Unterschallbereich abfällt. Der Aufbau ist klassisch mit Tombakmantel und Bleikern, die Teile sind nicht gebondet und daher jagdlich nicht für schweres Wild empfohlen, obwohl es mit ca. 2.700J auf 100m hochwildtauglich wäre.
