As the first model in the SLIPIT series, the "UKPK" combined a clip carry system with one-handed operation via the characteristic round thumb hole and a non-locking notch joint mechanism. Der von Spyderco entwickelte CPM-SPY27 Stahl bietet eine ausgewogene Kombination aus Schnitthaltigkeit, Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Zähigkeit. Als erstes Modell der SLIPIT-Serie kombinierte das „UKPK“ ein Clip-Tragesystem mit einhändiger Bedienung über das charakteristische runde Daumenloch sowie einem nicht verriegelnden Kerbgelenkmechanismus.
