Just a few years ago, the company ATAK Arms from Turkey was completely unknown here in Germany. Due to regulatory reasons, the Zoraki 914 was reserved for our neighboring countries. However, this changed in 2011 when the company ESC took over the import and ensured a PTB approval. The initial skepticism towards a Turkish blank firing pistol faded when the first reports of experience circulated. These placed the quality on par with manufacturers like Umarex & Co. In terms of reliability, it even surpasses some German competitors. The Zoraki 914 is a compact semi-automatic gas pistol with a magazine capacity of 14 shots in caliber 9mm P.A.K. In the titanium color variant, black plastic grip panels are used. The 914 also features a manual thumb safety and a combined single/double action trigger.PTB number in the photo may differ from the current PTB number!Our assessmentWe were very curious about the compact signal pistol after all the praise circulating on the internet. As is common with many suppliers, the delivery comes in a black plastic case. In addition to the weapon itself, there is also a firing cup, an instruction manual, and a cleaning brush included. Upon opening, we experienced the first wow effect. The blank firing pistol looks really good. We were also surprised by its size. The 914 is slightly more compact than a Röhm RG 88. However, the grip of the Zoraki is thicker, which noticeably improves handling. Overall, the weapon fits very well in the hand with its interestingly shaped grip panels. The workmanship can only be rated as very good. The titanium-colored finish also looks very high quality. To check the internal values, we disassembled the Zoraki 914. The process is easier than expected. Anyone who has cleaned a live CZ 75, for example, will immediately recognize the parallels. The slide is pulled back until the groove aligns with that of the grip. Then the slide stop lever is pried out. Now the slide can be removed forward. And here, too, we were met with a solid concept. The breech block and hammer have a steel insert, which should significantly increase durability. To verify this, we took an optionally available 25-shot magazine and fired it empty four times. We used both brass and steel-cased cartridges. After 100 shots, we can confirm that the reliability of the 914 blank firing pistol is convincing.How to conclude this test? The Zoraki 914 gas/signal pistol impresses with its appearance, handling, workmanship, and reliability. When you also consider the unbeatable price, there is no reason not to add this weapon to your collection. Zoraki 914 Schreckschusspistole Kaliber 9mm P.A.Knall - brüniert im Platzpatronen-Setinkl. 3x 50 shoot-club Platzpatronen, 1x Ladehilfe, 1x Ersatz-MagazinDiese moderne, kompakte Schreckschusspistole verfügt über einen ergonomisch geformtes Griffstück, stahlverstärkten Funktionsteilen und Single/ Double-Action Abzug. Noch vor wenigen Jahren war die Firma ATAK Arms aus der Türkei hier in Deutschland gänzlich unbekannt. Zulassungsbedingt war daher die Zoraki 914 unseren Nachbarländern vorbehalten. Dies änderte sich aber 2011, als die Firma ESC den Import übernahm und für eine PTB Zulassung sorgte. Die anfängliche Skepsis gegenüber einer türkischen Schreckschuss Pistole verflog, als erste Erfahrungsberichte in Umlauf kamen. Diese stellten die Qualität auf eine Stufe mit Herstellern Umarex & Co. In Sachen Zuverlässigkeit zieht sie sogar an so manchem deutschen Konkurrenten vorbei. Bei der Zoraki 914 handelt es sich um eine kompakte halbautomatische Gaspistole mit einer Magazinkapazität von 14 Schuss im Kaliber 9mm P.A.K.. Bei der Titan Farbvariante werden schwarze Kunststoffgriffschalen verbaut. Die 914 verfügt des Weiteren über eine manuelle Flügelsicherung sowie einen kombinierten Single-/Double Action Abzug.PTB-Nummer auf dem Foto kann von der aktuellen PTB-Nummer abweichen!Unsere EinschätzungWir waren nach all den Lobeshymnen, welche im Internet kursieren, sehr gespannt auf die kompakte Signalpistole. Wie bei vielen Anbietern üblich erfolgt die Lieferung in einem schwarzen Kunststoffkoffer. Neben der Waffe selbst liegen noch ein Abschussbecher, eine Anleitung sowie eine Reinigungsbürste bei. Nach dem Öffnen hatten wir den ersten wow-Effekt. Die Schreckschuss-Pistole sieht wirklich sehr gut aus. Auch größentechnisch waren wir überrascht. Die 914 ist noch einen kleinen Tick kompakter als eine Röhm RG 88. Allerdings ist bei der Zoraki das Griffstück stärker was das Handling spürbar verbessert. Allgemein liegt die Waffe mit den interessant geformten Griffschalen sehr gut in der Hand. Die Verarbeitung lässt sich nur als sehr gut beurteilen. Auch das titanfarbene Finish wirkt sehr hochwertig. Um die inneren Werte zu überprüfen haben wir die Zoraki 914 zerlegt. Der Vorgang ist einfacher als Gedacht. Wer beispielsweise schon einmal eine scharfe CZ 75 gereinigt hat, wird die Parallelen sofort erkennen. Der Schlitten wird nach hinten gezogen bis die Nut mit der des Griffstückes übereinstimmt. Danach wird der Schlittenfanghebel herausgehebelt. Nun kann der Schlitten nach vorn abgenommen werden. Und auch hier erwartete uns ein solides Konzept. Stoßboden und Hammer haben eine Stahleinlage, welche die Haltbarkeit deutlich erhöhen sollte. Um dies zu überprüfen haben wir uns ein optional erhältliches 25 Schuss Magazin genommen und dieses viermal leergeschossen. Verwendet haben wir sowohl Patronen mit Messing- als auch mit Stahlhülsen. Nach 100 Schuss können wir feststellen, dass auch die Zuverlässigkeit der 914 Schreckschusspistole überzeugt.Wie soll man diesen Test abschließen. Die Zoraki 914 Gas-/Signalpistole überzeugt mit Optik, Handling, Verarbeitung und Zuverlässigkeit. Bezieht man jetzt noch den unschlagbaren Preis mit ein, gibt es keinen Grund die Waffe nicht in die eigene Sammlung aufzunehmen.
