Description

The MAB Modèle D is a French semi-automatic pistol, manufactured by the company Manufacture d’Armes de Bayonne (MAB) starting in 1933. During the German occupation of France in World War II, production continued – many of these pistols were taken over by the Wehrmacht and used as service weapons. The specimen offered here bears the rare and easily recognizable acceptance stamp WaA 251, which was used by the German Wehrmacht for French weapons between approximately 1942 and 1944. Such pieces are particularly sought after by collectors of historical militaria.
