The DS version of the straight-pull repeater rifle Jaeger NXT by Haenel – here in the left-handed version – is specifically designed for individuals with a smaller physique.

Women and smaller men will find in the Jaeger NXT DS rifle from Haenel a repeating rifle that suits their physique and can be used without special effort and without cramping. The adjustment concerns the shape of the stock and the pistol grip, while the other quality features correspond to the standard NXT. In this version for left-handed shooters, the rifle is available in caliber .308Win.

The Stock
The one-piece, beautifully grained stock made of birch wood is, as mentioned, tailored for people with a smaller body frame. It has a straight comb and is slightly shorter. The grip surfaces are textured with a fish scale pattern, which feels pleasant in the hands. The fore-end has a trapezoidal shape for optimal support. The wood composite stock is FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council = sustainable and socially responsible forestry).

The System
The system is made of robust duralumin. The Jaeger NXT features a torsion lock that automatically twists the cylinder in the sleeve. The kickdown chamber handle also serves as the manual cocking device; it rotates and locks the bolt via a cone gear in the barrel while moving the cylinder. In the front third of the pivot area, the chamber handle cocks the rifle and prepares it for firing. The chamber lock lever is adjustable in three positions for unloading, firing, and securing. The dry-standing direct trigger has a trigger weight of 1,000 g and a trigger stop function; the removable magazine with a lock has a capacity of 5 rounds. Accessories can be mounted on the Picatinny rail.

The Barrel
The standard 52 cm long barrel is a cold-forged Suhl precision barrel with a profile of 18 mm. It has an M15x1 muzzle thread with thread protection. The i-Sight sighting system is removable.

Die DS-Version der Geradezugrepetierbüchse Jaeger NXT von Haenel – hier in der Linksausführung – ist speziell für Personen mit kleinerer Konstitution dimensioniert.

Frauen und kleinere Männer finden in der Jaeger NXT DS-Büchse von Haenel ein Repetiergewehr, das ihrer Physis entgegenkommt und das sie ohne besondere Anstrengung und ohne sich zu verkrampfen nutzen können. Die Anpassung betrifft den Schnitt des Schafts und des Pistolengriffs, die übrigen Qualitätsmerkmale entsprechen der normalen NXT. In dieser Ausführung für Linksschützinnen und -schützen ist die Büchse für das Kaliber.308Win erhältlich.

Der Schaft
Der einteilige, edel gemaserte Schaft aus Birkenholz ist, wie gesagt, für Menschen mit kleinerem Körperbau zugeschnitten. Er hat einen geraden Schaftrücken und ist etwas kürzer. Die Griffflächen sind mit einer Fischhaut-Struktur versehen, die haptisch angenehm in den Händen liegen. Der Vorderschaft hat für eine optimale Auflage eine Trapezform. Der Wood Compoundschaft ist FSC-zertifiziert (Forest Stewardship Council = nachhaltige und sozialverträgliche Waldwirtschaft).

Das System
Das System ist aus robustem Dur-Aluminium gefertigt. Die Jaeger NXT verfügt über einen Torsionsverschluss, der den Zylinder automatisch in der Hülse verdreht. Der Kickdown-Kammergriff ist zugleich der Handspanner, er dreht und verriegelt den Verschluss über ein Kegelgetriebe im Lauf, während er den Zylinder bewegt. Im vorderen Drittel des Schwenkbereichs spannt der Kammergriff und macht die Büchse bereit zum Schuss. Der Kammersperrhebel ist in drei Positionen zum Entladen, Feuern und Sichern einstellbar. Der trocken stehende Direktabzug hat ein Abzugsgewicht von 1.000 g und eine Triggerstop-Funktion, das herausnehmbare, mit einer Sperre versehene Magazin hat eine Kapazität von 5 Schuss. Die Montage von Zubehör kann auf der Picatinny-Schiene erfolgen.

Der Lauf
Bei dem standardmäßig 52 cm langen Lauf handelt es sich um einen kalt geschmiedeten Suhler Präzisionslauf mit einem Profil von 18 mm. Er hat ein M15x1-Mündungsgewinde mit Gewindeschutz. Das i-Sight-Visierungssystem ist abnehmbar.
