Short Leash "Calf Biter", Length 95 cm

The calf biter is a short leash, also called a "short lead", with an overall length of 95 cm. Short leashes are suitable for various training situations, for outings in the city, or at dog shows, and make sense wherever the dog should be granted only a limited range of motion.

The leash is made of double-layered, sewn webbing. The hand loop made of single-layer webbing fits comfortably around the hand. The transition to the leash is sewn with a leather trim made of oiled nubuck leather and additionally secured with a stabilizing rivet.

The snap hook made of solid brass, produced using sand casting, comes in a relatively delicate size due to its material-related stability. Solid brass snap hooks are very sturdy and much more durable than inexpensive alternatives made from injection molding. Additionally, they quickly lose their golden shine and develop a particularly high-quality matte patina within a few days.

Die Leine ist aus doppelt gelegtem, vernähtem Gurtband gefertigt. Die Handschlaufe aus 1-fachem Gurtband legt sich geschmeidig um die Hand. Der Übergang zur Leine ist mit einem Lederbesatz aus Fettnubukleder vernäht und einer stabilisierenden Niete zusätzlich gesichert.

Der Karabiner aus massivem Messing, im Sandgußverfahren hergestellt, kommt aufgrund seiner materiell bedingten Stabilität mit einer recht filigranen Größe aus. Vollmessing-Karabiner sind sehr stabil und viel belastbarer als preiswerte Alternativen aus Spritzguß. Außerdem legen sie in kurzer Zeit ihren goldenen Glanz ab und erhalten innerhalb weniger Tage eine besonders wertig anmutende, matte Patina.
