The Diycon set consists of the dual-use night vision device DNVC-2 Firefly and the IR-LED illuminator Predator 2. The dual-use night vision device DNVC-2 Firefly can be used as a standalone observation device or as an attachment for daylight optics.
Dual-Use Night Vision Device DNVC-2 Firefly
The specially developed adapter allows for use with riflescopes that have an eyepiece diameter of 36 – 45 mm. As a clip-on dual-use device, the DNVC-2 is designed for high shock loads and is waterproof. All controls are ergonomically arranged and allow for comfortable operation even at night. The 5-button keypad is equipped with shortcuts and controls the onboard menu like a joystick.
The new DNVC-2 Firefly, with its high-resolution CMOS sensor, has the ability to see brilliantly both day and night - with up to 6x zoom and a picture-in-picture function (3x / 4.5x). Compared to conventional night vision devices, the DNVC-2 is insensitive to daylight. Night vision devices have long been equipped with image intensifiers. These only amplify the existing residual light. Due to their design, they were very susceptible to shock, and failures in the high-voltage electronics often occurred. The consequence is often an expensive total loss of the night vision device. By using new CMOS sensor technology, many of these disadvantages are eliminated. Additionally, the system can be updated with new firmware at any time and brought up to date. Each component is subject to constant quality control during production.
The user can choose between color and black-and-white images. The eyepiece uses a micro-OLED screen with XGA resolution (1024x786 pixels). The IP68 waterproof titanium-aluminum housing is manufactured to military quality standards and is extremely robust. The universal interface allows for image output via micro-HDMI cable. The DVNC-2 acts like a normal external drive. The internal memory is sufficient for image and video recordings enabled by the device for up to 32 GB in size.
A central advantage of the DNVC-2 is the effective length (from the end of the eyepiece of the riflescope to the end of the eyepiece of the DNVC-2) of only 93 mm. Thus, the position of the eye remains in the optimal range of a variable scope, and the usual eye distance to the daylight optics does not need to change. The use on the eyepiece allows for a parallax-free image. This also results in no shift in the point of impact.
The night vision device is designed for the use of a type 18650 battery.
The DNVC 2 is delivered with an adapter for eyepieces with a diameter of 36 – 45 mm.
The set includes 2 batteries and a separate charger.

IR-LED Illuminator Predator 2
The IR-LED illuminator Predator 2 is the consistent further development of the Predator series and is particularly optimized for digital night vision technology. The illuminator comes with powerful LEDs and is focusable as well as infinitely dimmable. The power is 5 W. Thanks to the loop at the rear end, a lanyard can be easily attached – losing the lamp is impossible. The lamp can be securely mounted on Picatinny rails. Or, for example, support the dual-use night vision device DNVC-2 Firefly.

Das Set von Diycon besteht aus dem Dual-Use-Nachtsichtgerät DNVC-2 Firefly und dem IR-LED Aufheller Predator 2. Das Dual-Use-Nachtsichtgerät DNVC-2 Firefly kann als eigenständiges Beobachtungsgerät oder Aufsatz für die Tageslichtoptik verwendet werden.

Der eigens dafür entwickelte Adapter ermöglicht eine Verwendung zusammen mit Zielfernrohren, die einen Okulardurchmesser von 36 – 45 mm aufweisen. Als Clip-On Dual-Use-Gerät ist das DNVC-2 für höchste Stoßbelastungen ausgelegt und wasserdicht. Alle Bedienelemente wurden ergonomisch angeordnet und erlauben eine komfortable Bedienung auch bei Nacht. Das 5-Tasten-Keypad ist mit Shortcuts belegt und steuert das Onboard-Menü wie ein Joystick.
Das neue DNVC-2 Firefly verfügt mit seinem hochauflösenden CMOS-Sensor über die Fähigkeit, tags und nachts brilliant zu sehen - mit bis zu 6 x Zoom und einer Bild-in-Bild-Funktion (3x / 4,5x). Im Vergleich zu konventionellen Nachtsichtgeräten ist das DNVC-2 gegen Tageslicht unempfindlich. Nachtsichtgeräte wurden lange Zeit mit Bildverstärkern ausgerüstet. Diese verstärken nur das vorhandene Restlicht. Bauartbedingt waren diese sehr anfällig gegen Schock und häufig traten Fehler in der Hochspannungselektronik auf. Die Konsequenz ist oft ein teurer Totalschaden des Nachtsichtgerätes. Durch die Verwendung neuer CMOS-Sensorentechnologie entfallen viele dieser Nachteile. Außerdem ist das System jederzeit mit neuer Firmware skalierbar und auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen. Jedes Bauteil unterliegt in der Produktion einer ständigen Qualitätskontrolle.
Der Benutzer kann zwischen Farb- und Schwarzweiß-Bild wählen. Das Okular verwendet einen Micro-OLED Bildschirm mit XGA Auflösung (1024x786 Pixel). Das nach IP68 wasserdichte Titan-Aluminium-Gehäuse wird nach militärischen Qualitätsstandards gefertigt und ist außerordentlich robust. Die Universalschnittstelle erlaubt die Ausgabe von Bildern via Micro-HDMI-Kabel. Das DVNC-2 wirkt dabei wie ein normales externes Laufwerk. Der interne Speicher reicht für durch das Gerät ermöglichte Bild- und Videoaufzeichnungen für bis zu 32 GB Größe.
Ein zentraler Pluspunkt des DNVC-2 ist die effektive Baulänge (Ende Okular Zielfernrohr bis Ende Okular DNVC-2) von nur 93 mm. Somit liegt die Position des Auges immer noch im optimalen Bereich eines variablen Glases, der gewohnte Augenabstand zur Tageslichtoptik muss sich nicht ändern. Die Verwendung auf dem Okular erlaubt eine parallaxefreie Abbildung. Daraus erfolgt auch keine Treffpunktverlagerung.
Das Nachtsichtgerät ist ausgelegt für die Verwendung eines Akkus Typ 18650.
Das DNVC 2 wird mit Adapter für Okulare von 36 – 45 mm Durchmesser ausgeliefert.

IR-LED Aufheller Predator 2
Der IR-LED Aufheller Predator 2 ist die konsequente Weiterentwicklung der Predator-Serie und besonders für digitale Nachtsichttechnik optimiert. Der Aufheller kommt mit leistungsstarken LEDs und ist fokussierbar wie stufenlos dimmbar. Die Leistung beträgt 5 W. Dank der Öse am hinteren Ende kann ein Lanyard unkompliziert angebracht werden – verlieren der Lampe unmöglich. Mittels der Montage kann die Lampe fest auf Picatinny-Schienen angebracht werden. Oder beispielsweise das Dual-Use-Nachtsichtgerät DNVC-2 Firefly unterstützen.
