The 7x65 R is an excellent cartridge for distances beyond 200 meters. It can cover the entire range of use from roe deer to red deer very well. The cartridge was introduced in 1920 after the rapid success of the 7x64. This rimmed cartridge is the equivalent of the 7x64 and is predestined for break-action rifles. It is ideally suited for both combination hunting rifles and break-action rifles. Especially with the 8.0 g KS bullet (KS = conical tip) and the associated velocity, the 7x65 R is an excellent chamois cartridge in a leading break-action rifle. Die Patrone wurde 1920 nach dem schnellen Erfolg der 7x64 herausgebracht. Diese Randpatrone stellt das Äquivalent zur 7x64 dar und ist für Kipplaufwaffen prädestiniert. Sie ist sowohl für kombinierte Jagdwaffen als auch Kipplaufbüchsen ideal geeignet. Besonders mit dem 8,0 g KS-Geschoss (KS= Kegelspitz) und der damit verbundenen Rasanz ist die 7x65 R eine ausgezeichnete Gams-Patrone in einer führigen Kipplaufbüchse.
