Mauser's M 12 follows the tradition of hunting repeating rifles of the MAUSER 98 type. The proven M 98 infantry system, which generations of hunters have appreciated, has been stylishly further developed in the new M 12. The System
The system has been typically made of steel by Mauser. 6 lugs in the chamber lock directly in the barrel, which increases precision. Additionally, this has achieved the small opening angle of 60 degrees, which guarantees quick cycling. The textured chamber grip ball also contributes to this. The Mauser-typical open loading window offers the possibility to quickly load a cartridge from above in critical situations. The brilliantly dry direct trigger with a trigger weight of 950 g allows for highly precise shooting results. The M 12 Pure is delivered with a classic 3-position safety or, for an additional charge, with a 3-position manual cocking. The separate ball cocking ensures that the system is maximally safe in the relaxed state. A shot can never be released unintentionally. In the first position, the chamber is locked and cannot be opened unintentionally. In the second position, the chamber lock is deactivated, not cocked, cocked. This allows loading and unloading of the rifle in the relaxed state. It also offers a position where the chamber is secured against accidental opening. The rifle comes with a removable magazine with space for 5+1 cartridges (medium caliber) and 4+1 (magnum caliber)
The Stock
The stock of the M 12 made of walnut wood class 2 in a classic straight shape is very grippy due to a fine, two-part checkering on the "Prince of Wales" pistol grip and on the fore-end. A stylishly shaped cheek piece on the buttstock emphasizes the elegant design. The noble appearance of the traditional hunting stock is underscored by a high-quality oil finish.
The Barrel
The 56 cm long barrel (medium caliber) or 62 cm long barrel (magnum caliber), optionally shorter, with a standard barrel contour of 17 mm at the muzzle, has good vibration behavior. It has been cold hammered and is excellently precise. Equipped with open sights or optionally without, a muzzle thread M 15 x1 is available optionally.

Als Repetierbüchse mit traditionellem Jagdschaft, moderner Handspannung und bewährtem Mauser-typischen System aus Stahl ist die M 12 Pure besonders zuverlässig und stilsicher. Mausers M 12 folgt der Tradition der jagdlichen Repetierbüchsen vom Typ MAUSER 98. Das bewährte M 98-Infanteriesystem, das Generationen von Jägern zu schätzen wissen, wurde in der neuen M 12 stilsicher weiterentwickelt. So steht die M 12 genauso wie die M 98 für höchste Verlässlichkeit.
Das System
Das System wurde Mauser-typisch aus Stahl gefertigt. 6 Warzen an der Kammer verriegeln direkt im Lauf, das steigert die Präzision. Zudem konnte dadurch der geringe Öffnungswinkel von 60 Grad erreicht werden, der schnelle Repetiervorgänge garantiert. Dazu trägt auch die griffige Kammergriffkugel bei. Das Mauser-typische offene Ladefenster bietet in brenzlichen Situationen die Möglichkeit, schnell von oben eine Patrone nachzulegen. Der brillant trockenstehende Direktabzug mit einem Abzugsgewicht von 950 g ermöglicht hoch präzise Schießergebnisse. Die M 12 Pure wird mit klassischer 3-Stellungssicherung oder gegen Aufpreis mit einer 3-Stellungs-Handspannung ausgeliefert. Die separate Kugelspannung bewirkt, dass das System im entspannten Zustand maximal sicher ist. Ein Schuss kann sich niemals ohne Absicht lösen. In der ersten Stellung ist die Kammer gesperrt und lässt sich nicht unbeabsichtigt öffnen. in der zweiten Stellung ist die Kammersperre deaktiviert nicht gespannt, gespannt. Die lässt im entspannten zustand das Laden und Entladen der Büchse zu. Außerdem bietet sie eine Stellung, in der die Kammer gegen versehentliches Öffnen gesichert ist. Der Schaft
Der Schaft der M 12 aus Nussbaumholz der Holzklasse 2 in klassisch gerader Form ist durch eine feine, zweigeteilte Fischhaut am "Prince of Wales"-Pistolengriff und am Vorderschaft sehr griffig. Eine stilsicher ausgeformte Schaftwange am Hinterschaft unterstreicht das elegante Design. Die edle Anmutung des traditionellen Jagdschaftes wird durch ein hochwertiges Ölfinish unterstrichen.
Der Lauf
Der 56 cm lange Lauf (Medium-Kaliber) oder 62 cm lange Lauf (Magnum-Kaliber), optional kürzer, mit einer Standard-Laufkontur von 17 mm an der Mündung, besitzt ein gutes Schwingverhalten. Er wurde kalt gehämmert und ist hervorragend präzise. Ausgestattet mit einer offenen Visierung oder wahlweise ohne ist ein Mündungsgewinde M 15 x1 optional erhältlich.
