Hauptaugenmerk bei diesem Pirschglas ist jedoch neben Verringerung der Baugröße und des Gewichtes (913 g.) die Verwendungsfähigkeit als Nachtansitzglas. Aus diesem Grund wurden bei den neuen Pirschferngläsern ebenfalls Abbe-König-Prismen verbaut und der ein Objektivdurchmesser von mehr als (normal 42mm) gewählt.
