It features a 6x optical magnification, which can be digitally increased up to 30x if needed. The large lens diameter of 50 mm ensures high light intake and thus good resolution and image brightness. To extend the range of the MINOX NVD 650 to up to 350 meters, the built-in infrared illuminator can be activated if the existing ambient light is no longer sufficient. A mounting rail allows for the connection of an external illuminator. A special feature is the built-in camera electronics. Es verfügt über eine 6-fache optische Vergrößerung, die bei Bedarf digital bis auf 30-fach erhöht werden kann. Der große Objektivdurchmesser von 50 mm sorgt für hohen Lichteinfall und damit gute Auflösung und Bildhelligkeit. Um den Einsatzbereich des MINOX NVD 650 auf eine Reichweite von bis zu 350 Meter auszudehnen, kann bei Bedarf der eingebaute Infrarotstrahler zugeschaltet werden, wenn das vorhandene Restlicht nicht mehr ausreicht. Eine Montageschiene ermöglicht es, zusätzlich einen externen Strahler anzuschließen. Ein besonderes Ausstattungsmerkmal ist die eingebaute Kameraelektronik.
