Ortgies 6.35 pistol nickel-plated according to the S/N and the HO grip panels still from the early original production of H. Orgies & Co. from 1919 to 1921. Caliber .6.35mm Browning. The pistol was presumably re-nickel-plated afterwards and completely sanded down, with the original external markings removed. Original factory stamps are only visible on the inside. Due to high demand, Ortgies pistols were manufactured at Deutsche Werke in Erfurt from 1921 onwards. Barrel profile mirror bright, grooves and fields sharp-edged. The famous pocket pistol by Heinrich Ortgies with its ingenious design features: slim, handy shape, tight fits, screwless construction, grip safety with permanent deactivation, and additional safety button. The prerequisite for the construction was the exceptionally good workmanship with tight fits. The Ortgies pistol was patented in 1916 and manufactured until 1921. After that, Deutsche Werke took over the patent until production ceased around 1924. Ortgies 6,35 Pistole vernickelt nach der S/N und den HO Griffschalen noch aus der frühen Originalfertigung von Firma H. Orgies & Co. 1919 bis 1921. Kaliber .6,35mmBrowning. Die Pistole wurde vermutlich nachträglich neu vernickelt und dafür komplett abgeschliffen und die äußerliche Originalbeschriftung entfernt. Originalstempel des Werks sind nur auf der Innenseite zu sehen. Aufgrund der großen Nachfrage wurden ab 1921 die Ortgies Pistolen bei Deutsche Werke Werk Erfurt gefertigt. Laufprofil spiegelblank, Züge und Felder scharfkantig. Die berühmte Taschenpistole von Heinrich Ortgies mit den genialen Konstruktionsmerkmalen schlanke, handliche Form, engste Passungen, schraubenlose Konstruktion, Griffstücksicherung mit permanenter Entsicherung und zusätzlichen Sicherungsknopf. Voraussetzung für die Konstruktion war die außergewöhnlich gute Verarbeitung mit den engen Passungen. Die Ortgies Pistole wurde 1916 patentiert und bis 1921 gefertigt. Danach übernahmen die Deutschen Werke das Patent bis zur Einstellung der Produktion ca. 1924. Griffstücksicherung für permantente Entsicherung und zusätzlichen Sicherungsknopf mit dem die Pistole wieder gesichert und entspannt werden kann. Mit herausnehmbaren Magazin. Originalbeschriftung/Stempel. Schlitten : 8900. Lauf: 8900. Griffstück: Linksaußen S/N 1214, Griffstück innen 11 Y, auf der Griffstückverlängerung unter dem Lauf 9 und Fragmente einer Beschriftung die aber nicht mehr zu entziffern sind, auf dem Halteblock für den Lauf 2. Griffstück am Verschluss unten: 50 R 11. Holzgriffschalen mit Emblem HO vergoldet. Herausnehmbares Magazin vernickelt gestempelt mit 6,35 m/m und dem Emblem der Deutsche Werke Erfurt als Fragment. Gepflegter guter Zustand. Kaliber: .6,35mmBrowning (.25ACP). Lauflänge: ca. 7 cm. Maße: 14 x 8,5 cm. Gewicht: 390 g. Keine Originalbeschusszeichen der Weimarer Republik.
