Miyamoto Musashi is remembered as one of the most remarkable samurai in Japanese history, living from 1584 to 1645. He is acclaimed as the best swordsman in Japan. He was a fighter, artist, and craftsman at the same time. A unique fighting style was developed by him, which is still taught today as "Niten Ichiryu." In this style, both short and long swords are used simultaneously. His founding of a school for tsuba manufacturing is unforgettable. His most famous, very simple tsuba consists of two oval rings. Miyamoto Musashi ist als einer der beachtenswertesten Samurai in die japanische Geschichte eingegangen und lebte von 1584 bis 1645. Er wird als bester Schwertkmpfer Japans gerhmt. Er war Kmpfer, Knstler und Handwerker zugleich. Von ihm wurde ein eigener Kampfstil entwickelt, der als "Niten Ichiryu" noch heute gelehrt wird. Dabei werden Kurz- und Langschwert gleichzeitig eingesetzt. Unvergessen ist seine Grndung einer Schule fr die Stichblattherstellung (Tsuba). Seine bekannteste, sehr schlichte Tsuba besteht aus zwei ovalen Ringen. Bei dieser Sonderausfhrung ist die Tsuba zustzlich mit feinen goldenen Einlagen verziert und auch die anderen Teile sind elegant verziert. - Besonders scharf ausgeschliffene Damastklinge aus 12- fach gefaltetem 1045 Kohlenstoffstahl mit ber 8.000 Lagen. - Klinge im Shinogi-Zukuri-Stil mit Hohlkehle (Bo-Hi) mit eingearbeiteter Hamonlinie. - Griffwicklung aus schwarzer Baumwolle im klassischen Hineri-Maki-Stil. - Schwarze, hochglanzlackierte Scheide (Kuroro-Stil) aus Holz. - Mit langer Angel, welche mit 2 Bambusstiften (Mekugi) im Griff fixiert ist.
