O.A.L gauge from Hornady, for measuring the seating depth for all semi-automatics, lever-action repeaters, or other firearms where access to the chamber is only possible from the side (e.g., through the ejection port).
To determine the correct seating depth and thus the optimal cartridge length when reloading,
it must be measured using an O.A.L gauge.
For this purpose, the O.A.L gauge from Hornady and separately available modified cases in the respective caliber, as well as any bullets, are pushed into the chamber.
Adjusting the cartridge length optimizes the non-rotational bullet path that the projectile must travel from the case into the rifled part of the barrel.
The measurement accuracy is 0.001 inches / 0.025 millimeters.
The curved model also works with all other types of firearms.
Not compatible with adapter D or very short cases (e.g., 17 or 22 Hornet).
A modified cartridge case must be ordered separately for each caliber.

O.A.L Lehre von Hornady, zur Messung der Setztiefe für alle Selbstlader, Unterhebelrepetierer oder andere Waffen, bei denen der Zugang zum Patronenlager nur von der Seite (z. B. durch das Auswurffenster) möglich ist.
Um die richtige Setztiefe und damit die optimale Patronenlänge beim Wiederladen zu ermitteln,
muss diese mittels einer O.A.L Lehre gemessen werden.
Dazu wird die O.A.L Lehre von Hornady und separat erhältliche Modifizierte Hülsen im jeweiligem Kaliber sowie beliebige Geschosse in das Patronenlager geschoben.
Das Anpassen der Patronenlänge optimiert den rotationslosen Geschossweg, den das Projektil von der Hülse in den gezogenen Teil des Laufes zurücklegen muss.
Die Messgenauigkeit liegt bei 0.001 Zoll / 0,025 Millimeter.
Das Gebogene Model funktioniert auch bei allen anderen Waffentypen.
Nicht kompatibel mit Adapter D oder sehr kurze Hülsen (z. B. 17 oder 22 Hornet)
