In addition to the original contract for Type 47, which received the upgrade, Siam manufactured approximately 3000 additional Type 47/66 (serial numbers ~ 10,000-~ 13,000) at the Bangkok arsenal using the original tools they had received from the Tokyo Arsenal of the Imperial Japanese Army in the mid to late 1930s. These were newly manufactured and not simply cut from existing Type 45/Type 46 weapons. Zusätzlich zu dem ursprünglichen Vertrag über Typ 47, der das Upgrade erhielt, fertigte Siam Mitte bis Ende der 1930er Jahre ungefähr 3000 weitere Typ 47/66 (Seriennummern ~ 10.000-~ 13.000) im Arsenal von Bangkok unter Verwendung der ursprünglichen Werkzeuge, die sie erhalten hatten aus dem Tokyo Arsenal der kaiserlichen japanischen Armee. Diese wurden brandneu hergestellt und nicht durch einfaches Abschneiden bestehender Waffen vom Typ 45/Typ 46.
