In contrast, the 3-piece cleaning rods are detachable, less bulky to transport, and can be easily taken on trips. Cleaning rods are made of stainless steel with a non-slip polyamide handle. This contains two maintenance-free and smoothly running ball bearings, so that the felt cleaning elements screwed onto the adapter can follow the movements in the barrel during the cleaning process (and do not unscrew the adapter due to the twisting motion in the barrel like cheaper cleaning rods with rigid handles). Dagegen sind die 3-teiligen Putzstöcke eben auseinandernehmbar, nicht so sperrig zu transportieren und können leicht auf Reisen mitgeführt werden. Putzstöcke bestehen aus Edelstahl mit einem rutschfesten Polyamid-Handgriff. Dieser enthält zwei wartungsfreie und leicht laufende Kugellager, damit die auf den Adapter aufgeschraubten Filzreinigungselemente während des Reinigungsvorgangs den Zügen im Lauf folgen können (und sich nicht wie bei billigeren Putzstöcken mit starren Griffen der Adapter durch die Drallbewegung im Lauf herunterschrauben kann).
