The Kampfmesser 3000 of the Bundeswehr features a Spear Point blade, which has a serrated edge in the rear section. To protect against reflections while simultaneously increasing corrosion resistance, the entire blade is coated with a matte black Kalgard finish. The ergonomically shaped handle made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic has a guard with a thumb rest and a loop for a lanyard.
