The 7x65 R was introduced in 1920 as the 7x64 as a sister cartridge with a rim. The caliber is predestined for combined hunting weapons as well as for break-action firearms - thus covering the entire range of use from deer to red deer very well. Both the 10.7 g heavy GECO partial jacket bullet and the 11.0 g heavy GECO Plus achieve good external ballistic properties. For those who prefer lead-free hunting ammunition or where required by law, there is the GECO ZERO with an 8.2 g bullet weight. Die 7x65 R wurde 1920 zur 7x64 als Schwesterpatrone mit Rand vorgestellt. Das Kaliber ist für kombinierte Jagdwaffen als auch für Kipplaufwaffen prädestiniert - damit kann der gesamte Einsatzbereich von Reh bis Rotwild bestens abgedeckt werden. Sowohl mit dem 10,7 g schweren GECO Teilmantel-Geschoss als auch dem 11,0 g schweren GECO Plus werden gute außenballistische Eigenschaften erzielt. Für alle, die bleifreie Jagdmunition bevorzugen oder dort wo es der Gesetzgeber vorschreibt, gibt es das GECO ZERO mit 8,2 g Geschossgewicht.
