For sale is an exquisite and authentic piece of Southeast Asian edged weapon history: an antique Dha (Darb) from the 19th century, presumably from the region of Myanmar (Burma).

Blade: Hand-forged, single-edged iron blade with characteristic curvature and beautiful, dark age patina.
Grip: The handle is made of solid marine bone, which has taken on a wonderful, warm hue over the decades.
Scabbard & Fittings: The wooden scabbard is completely covered with high-quality silver (tested). It features the finest filigree work and applied floral rosettes. The ferrule at the grip is also elegantly crafted in silver.
Condition: Excellent antique preservation. The silver shows an authentic patina, and all decorations are well preserved. An honest piece that has not been over-restored.

Klinge: Handgeschmiedete, einschneidige Eisenklinge mit charakteristischer Krümmung und schöner, dunkler Alterspatina.
Griff: Das Heft besteht aus massivem Marinem Bein, das über die Jahrzehnte eine wunderbare, warme Färbung angenommen hat.
Scheide & Beschläge: Die Holzscheide ist vollständig mit hochwertigem Silber (getestet) ummantelt. Sie besticht durch feinste Filigranarbeit und applizierte florale Rosetten. Auch die Zwinge am Griff ist passend in Silber gearbeitet.
Zustand: Exzellenter antiker Erhaltungsgrad. Das Silber weist eine authentische Patina auf, alle Verzierungen sind gut erhalten. Ein ehrliches Stück, das nicht überrestauriert wurde.
