Product information "Airgun AEA Megalodon F-Series"
With the AEA "Megalodon", the successor to the popular model "Challenger" is hitting the market. The rifle has an 8-shot magazine capacity (rubber balls in caliber .50) and features a "pump action" mechanism. In the F version, the projectile energy is limited to 7.5 Joules.
The included export kit consists of a "card" that has a 12 mm hole instead of the 0.9 mm hole, and a tube insert that can be used instead of the regulator in the rear cartridge. The possession of the export kit is legal in Germany, but installation requires a permit. With this permit-required modification, the weapon achieves a projectile energy of up to 600 Joules, using AEA lead projectiles in caliber .50. Alternatively, the regulator can also be used. In this case, the maximum projectile energy decreases (between 100 and 500 Joules depending on the chosen regulator pressure), but the number of shots per air fill increases, and the projectile energy remains absolutely constant (as long as there is sufficient pressure in the system). The pump action system is extremely reliable and allows for the firing of 8 shots in less than 6 seconds. The weapon has two air cartridges. The rear cartridge (part of the stock) is changeable under pressure. The front cartridge serves as a "plenum" and ensures a very consistent shot release.
The delivery includes two magazines and a filling adapter for conventional PCP pumps and compressors (minimum 250 bar filling pressure).
A suitable silencer is offered for the weapon. The 22mm Picatinny rail allows for the mounting of suitable scopes or red dot sights.

Mit der AEA „Megalodon“ kommt der Nachfolger des beliebten Modells „Challenger“ auf den Markt. Das Gewehr verfügt über 8 Schuss Magazinkapazität (Gummikugeln im Kaliber .50) und besitzt einen „Pump Action“ Mechanismus. In der F-Version ist die Geschossenergie auf 7,5 Joule begrenzt.
Das mitgelieferte Export-Kit besteht aus einer „Karte“, die statt der 0,9mm Bohrung eine 12 mm Bohrung aufweist, und einem Rohreinsatz, der statt des Regulators in die hintere Kartusche eingesetzt werden kann. Der Besitz des Export-Kits ist in Deutschland legal, der Einbau aber erlaubnispflichtig. Durch diesen erlaubnispflichtigen Umbau erreicht die Waffe eine Geschossenergie von bis zu 600 Joule, mit den AEA-Bleigeschossen im Kaliber .50. Alternativ kann aber auch der Regulator verwendet werden. Dann sinkt die maximale Geschossenergie (zwischen 100 und 500 Joule je nach gewähltem Regulatordruck), aber dafür steigt die Zahl der Schüsse mit einer Druckluftfüllung und die Geschossenergie bleibt absolut konstant (solange genügend Druck im System herrscht). Das Pump Action System ist äußerst zuverlässig und erlaubt die Abgabe von 8 Schüssen in weniger als 6 Sekunden. Die Waffe verfügt über zwei Druckluftkartuschen. Die hintere Kartusche (Teil des Schafts) ist unter Druck wechselbar. Die vordere Kartusche dient als „Plenum“ und sorgt für eine sehr gleichmäßige Schussabgabe.
Zum Lieferumfang gehören zwei Magazine und ein Fülladapter für herkömmliche PCP-Pumpen und Kompressoren (mindestens 250 bar Fülldruck).
Für die Waffe wird ein passender Schalldämpfer angeboten. Die 22mm Piucatinny Schiene erlaubt die Montage geeigneter Zielfernrohre oder Red Dot Visiere.
