The Katzbalger was primarily a secondary weapon and a last defense against the opponent. The handguard with its pronounced S-shape and the blade profile secure this sword's place in history.
The Katzbalger has been masterfully reproduced according to the specifications of Kingston Arms. The feel and balance will surprise the swordsman just as much as the proportions. Since the balance point is only about 5.1 cm away from the detailed, S-shaped stainless steel handguard, this design allows the heavy sword to be wielded quickly and powerfully.

Darum sind diese europäischen Schwerter innovativ, gut konstruiert und langlebig. Das Original wurde ca. 1525 in Deutschland hergestellt und es befindet sich im Museum in Glasgow. Der Katzbalger war hauptsächlich eine Sekundärwaffe und eine letzte Verteidigung gegen den Gegner. Der Handschutz mit der ausgeprägten S-Form und das Klingenprofil sichern diesem Schwert seinen Platz in der Geschichte.
Der Katzbalger wurde meisterhaft nach den Spezifikationen von Kingston Arms reproduziert. Das Gefühl und die Balance werden den Schwertkämpfer genauso wie die Proportionen überraschen. Da sich der Balancepunkt nur etwa 5,1 cm vom detailreichen, S-förmigen Handschutz aus Edelstahl entfernt befindet, ermöglicht dieser Aufbau, das schwere Schwert schnell und kraftvoll zu führen.
