With the ONE series, Specna Arms is taking new pricing paths for airsoft rifles with high quality at a fair price.
There is now a nice selection of ONE rifles that are almost identical in construction and internals.
The SA-A03 airsoft M4 is an exceptionally high-quality 0.5 joule with great workmanship and some special features that we will discuss later. Everything fits very tightly and without wobble. The upper and lower parts of the metal body also fit snugly and precisely. The handguard is also very secure, torsionally rigid, and does not creak at all.
Except for the stock and grip, everything is made of high-quality metal, and all stressed parts such as pins, screws, sling swivels, etc. are made of steel.
The body and handguard are specially manufactured, which is immediately noticeable. The base material is sandblasted, and then the rifle is powder-coated using an anodizing process, which is very elaborate. After the surface treatment, the weapons are dried in between and then electrostatically coated and dried again. This makes the coating more resistant, very smooth with a matte sheen, and well protected against corrosion.
The gearbox and wiring are, in fact, "overly" good for a 0.5 joule. High-current cables have been installed that hardly block voltage and can easily handle LiFe and LiPo batteries up to 11.1V.
The gearbox is derived from the well-known and proven version 2 and is reinforced. The spring guide and gears are made of steel. The gears are set on spacers for smooth and faster operation. Anyone with experience in airsoft rifles will hear the smooth operation with every shot.
There are four anti-reversals installed, which guarantee a very consistent trigger pull. This is not the case with comparable models in this price range, where the shot breaks at different positions of the trigger.
The ball bearings are made of 8 mm steel and support the smooth operation of the gearbox. The cylinder has a metal head, the piston is made of high-quality polymer and runs smoothly, and the metal nozzle is equipped with an air seal for better sealing.
The hop-up is like a G&G hop-up made of polymer and is a so-called rotary hop-up. This can be adjusted much more precisely and does not change after prolonged use due to the stresses.
All of this positively affects the shooting behavior. The energy differences between shots (tested with 7.4 LiPo) are a maximum of 0.5 m/s, which is virtually nothing. The energy is around 66 m/s, which corresponds to 0.44 joules (with hop-up turned off). Since the interaction of all parts is very good, the A03 achieves better ranges than comparable models with 0.5 joules.
A practical feature is the original design of the bolt. When you pull back the T-lever, the cover of the ejection port locks in place and keeps the bolt open. This makes adjusting the hop-up underneath much more comfortable. The bolt can be released again using the typical left-mounted bolt catch.
The wide crane stock is comfortable to shoulder with a ribbed rubber cover. It can be adjusted in length 5 times. There is also a nice gimmick here. On the top side of the stock, there is a hole through which you can see the length settings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. See picture.
The LiPo battery goes into the stock. It is best to use a two-part (twin-type) or thin three-part battery. The length of the stock can be better utilized here than with many other airsoft rifles and is about 13 cm. The thickness of the battery cell should be a maximum of 19 mm. Plenty of space for batteries with high mAh.
The removable rear sight is a peep sight. The sight can be adjusted laterally and also in height. The front sight can also be adjusted in height.
The upper Picatinny rail is suitable for red dots, and the 4 rails on the front sides are for accessories like a front grip. The rails are CNC machined.
Also very detail-oriented: the slots are completely numbered, indicating the side, so for example, the left side has L15, L16, etc., and the top has T15, T16, etc.
The gas block of the original is also replicated.
A dual-use sling mounting option is located behind the body in front of the stock. If you want to use a two-point sling, you will need a Picatinny adapter for the handguard.
The muzzle flash suppressor is mounted on the standard 14mm thread and is secured by a set screw. If desired, the muzzle flash suppressor can be replaced with tracer or silencer replicas. The notch at the beginning of the muzzle flash suppressor is intentional and not a defect. See picture. This is for safe disassembly with tools on original weapons, where the suppressor can also get very hot.
The dark gray high-cap steel magazine is very well made and bears the caliber markings 5.56mmx45. About 300 BBs fit in the magazine. Since the A03 airsoft rifle is Tokyo Marui compatible, almost all common M4/M16/AR15 magazines fit.
At just under 0.5 joules of energy, we recommend using BBs weighing 0.2 g.

Mit der ONE Serie beschreitet Specna Arms neue preisliche Wege an Softair Gewehren mit hoher Qualität zu einem fairen Preis.
Es gibt mitlerweile eine schöne Auswahl an ONE Gewehren die vom Aufbau und Internals fast identisch sind.
Die SA-A03 Softair M4 ist eine ausgesprochen hochwertige 0,5er mit toller Verarbeitung und einigen Besonderheiten zu denen wir später kommen. Alles sitzt sehr fest und wackelfrei. Ober- und Unterteil des Metallbodies sitzen auch spielfrei und passgenau. Der Handschutz sitzt auch richtig fest, ist verwindungssteif und knarzt kein Stück.
Außer Schaft und Handgriff ist alles aus hochwertigem Metall und alle belasteten Teile wie Pins, Schrauben, Sling Swivel usw. sind aus Stahl.
Der Body und der Handschutz sind besonders gefertigt was man auch sofort sieht. Das Grundmaterial wird sandgestrahlt und danach wird das Gewehr im Anodisierungsverfahren Pulverbeschichtet, was sehr aufwendig ist. Nach der Oberflächenvorbehandlung werden die Waffen zwischengetrocknet und direkt im Anschluss elektrostatisch beschichtet und wieder getrocknet. Das macht die Beschichtung wiederstandfähiger, sehr glatt mit einem matten Glanz und gut geschützt gegen Korrosion.
Die Gearbox und Verkabelung sind genau genommen für eine 0,5er "übertrieben" gut. So wurden Hochstrom-Kabel verlegt, die kaum Spannung blockieren und problemlos LiFe und LiPo Akkus bis zu 11,1V vertragen.
Die Gearbox ist von der bekannten und bewährten Version 2 abgeleitet und verstärkt. Der Spring Guide und die Zahnräder sind aus Stahl. Die Zahnräder sind für reibungslosen und schnelleren Einsatz auf Spacer gesetzt. Wer Erfahrung mit Softair Gewehren hat, der hört das runde laufen beim jedem Schuss.
Es sind gleich 4 Anti-Reversals verbaut, die einen sehr konstanten Abzugsweg garantieren. Bei vergleichbaren Modellen in der Preislage ist das nicht der Fall und der Schuss bricht an unterschiedlichen Positionen des Abzugs.
Die Kugellager sind aus 8 mm Stahl und unterstützen das runde laufen der Gearbox. Der Cylinder hat einen Metallkopf, der Piston ist aus hochwertigem Polymer und leichtgängig und das Metall Nozzle ist mit einem Air Seal zur besseren Abdichtung versehen.
Das Hop-Up ist wie ein G&G Hop-Up aus Polymer und ein sogenanntes Rotary Hop-Up. Das lässt sich wesentlich präziser einstellen und verstellt sich auch nach längerem spielen nicht durch die Belastungen.
Das zusammen macht sich im Schussverhalten deutlich positiv bemerkbar. Die Energieunterschiede zwischen den Schüssen (mit 7,4 LiPo getestet) liegen bei maximal 0,5 m/s, das ist quasi nichts. Die Energie liegt bei rund 66 m/s was 0,44 Joule entspricht (mit ausgeschaltetem Hop-Up). Da das Zusammenspiel aller Teile sehr gut ist, erreicht die A03 aber bessere Reichweiten als vergleichbare Modelle mit 0,5 Joule.
Eine praktische Spielerei ist die originalgetreue Bauweise des Verschlusses. Zieht man den T-Hebel zurück, rastet die Abdeckung des Hülsenauswurfs ein und hält damit den Verschluss offen. Das macht das Verstellen des Hop-Ups darunter natürlich komfortabler. Den Verschluss kann man über den typisch links angebrachten Bolt Catch wieder lösen.
Der breite Crane Stock ist mit einer geriffelten Gummiabdeckung im Anschlag bequem. Er lässt sich 5-fach in der Länge verstellen. Auch hier gibt es ein nettes Gimmick. Im Schaft ist auf der Oberseite ein Loch durch das man die Einstellung der Länge 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 sehen kann. Siehe Bild.
In den Schaft kommt der LiPo Akku. Da sollte am besten ein zweiteiliger (Twin-Type) oder dünner dreiteiliger Akku genommen werden. Die Länge des Schaftes kann hier besser genutzt werden als bei vielen anderen Softairgewehren und liegt bei ca. 13 cm. Die Dicke der Akkuzelle sollte bei maximal 19 mm liegen. Genug Platz für Akkus mit viel mAh.
Die abnehmbare Kimme ist ein Loch-Absehen. Das Absehen lässt sich seitlich und auch in der Höhe verstellen. Das Korn kann man auch in der Höhe verstellen.
Die obere Picatinnyschiene bietet sich für Red Dots an und die 4 Schienen an den vorderen Seiten für Zubehör wie einen Frontgriff. Die Schienen sind CNC gefräst.
Auch wieder sehr detailverliebt: die Slots sind komplett durchnummeriert, mit Angabe der Seite, also z.B. steht auf der linken Seite L15, L16 usw, oben steht T15, T16 usw.
Die Gasabnahme des Originals ist auch nachgebildet.
Eine beidseitig nutzbare Sling Montagemöglichkeit befindet sich hinter dem Body vor dem Schaft. Wer einen Zweipunktgurt nutzen möchte, der braucht noch einen Picatinny Adapter für den.Handschutz.
Der Mündungsfeuerdämpfer sitzt auf dem Standard 14mm Gewinde und wird von einer Madenschraube gesichert. Wer möchte kann den Mündungsfeuerdämpfer gegen Tracer oder Schalldämpferattrappen austauschen. Die Kerbe am Anfang des Mündungsfeuerdämpfers ist Absicht und kein Defekt. Siehe Bild. Das dient zur sicheren Demontage mit Werkzeug an Originalwaffen, bei denen der Dämpfer auch sehr heiß werden kann.
Das dunkelgraue HighCap Stahlblechmagazin ist sehr gut verarbeitet und trägt die Kalibermarkings 5.56mmx45. Es passen rund 300 BBs in das Magazin. Da das A03 Softair Gewehr Tokyo Marui kompatibel ist, passen fast alle gängigen M4/M16/AR15 Magazine.
Bei knapp 0,5 Joule Energie, empfehlen wir BBs mit 0,2 g Gewicht zu benutzen.
