The Beretta M1934 is a semi-automatic pistol of Italian production. The handgun developed by Beretta in the 1930s, featuring the characteristic finger rest at the bottom of the grip, was used during World War II in all branches of the Italian armed forces and was also supplied to the country's police. The Beretta M1934, with the comparatively weak cartridge of caliber 9 × 17 mm (.380 ACP), eventually became the standard issue weapon of the Regio Esercito, the Italian army.
