The Heckler & Koch HK P8 has been produced since 1992, is the service pistol of the Bundeswehr, and was the successor to the standard issue pistol Walther P1. The P8 differs from the USP in the following features: A second recoil spring on the guide rod provides better cushioning of the recoil.
