The barrels equipped with Steelium profile and Optima Bore HP chokes made from the exclusive triple-alloyed steel manufactured for Beretta guarantee perfect shot distribution with soft iron and lead pellets as well as maximum utilization of cartridge performance. At the same time, this barrel profile developed by Beretta reduces recoil and muzzle rise for perfect weapon control during firing.
Initially, the hunting version is available with stocks for right or left-handed shooters in caliber 12 (length 370 mm, drop 35/55 mm). In 2023, it will also be available as a Vittoria hunting model and as a sporting model!
The pistol grip stock
of the new 687 Silver Pigeon V with 35/55 drop for right and left-handed shooters, and the round forend, are made from selected walnut woods of the same wood category as the premium models of the 687 EELL and are covered with a fine gloss finish. It protects the wood from moisture and dampness and enhances the grain. The finely cut checkering on the butt and forend ensures maximum grip. Optionally, there is the possibility to purchase it with the adjustable B-Fast stock.
The slim and elegant receiver
of the 687 Silver Pigeon V is characterized by the proven Beretta-typical side lock, with trapezoidal shoulder pieces and conical double locking bolts. The intricately crafted engraving with floral motifs in attractive contrast reproduces a design created by master engravers from Gardone Val Trompia and extends to the underside of the receiver (where the shotgun model and the Beretta trident logo are engraved), as well as on the opening lever and trigger guard, and also the hinge pins and forend catch.
The engraving is created with the latest Beretta technology: A 5-axis laser,
which is capable of engraving even rounded surfaces with perfect pattern continuity and high-quality contrast effects, which typically characterize fine shotguns. Viewed from above, the shotgun features particularly beautiful engraving elements on the receiver shoulders that transition onto the top barrel, giving the shotgun a special elegance from this perspective.
The gold-colored single trigger
features a switch located on the safety slider that allows for a simple and quick lateral movement to select the barrel for the first shot.

is the proven system of the 680 series, which has been sold over a million times for more than 30 years.
The 687 Silver Pigeon V is equipped with the famous Steelium barrels in all calibers, made of triple-alloyed Beretta steel, available in barrel lengths of 71 cm and 76 cm (for the hunting version) and 76 cm and 81 cm (for the sporting version), characterized by extremely precise deep drilling, cold hammering, and vacuum finishing. The special Optima-Bore HP barrel geometry with an 80 mm transition cone is designed for optimal gas pressure flow and is characterized by high density and uniform distribution of pellets, while the felt recoil is reduced. The “Optima-Choke HP” chokes with a length of 70 mm are also perfect for steel shot.
The hunting models feature a 6 mm wide rib, while the sporting models have a 10 mm wide rib that tapers to 8 mm at the muzzle, ensuring precise target acquisition and minimal coverage of the game body.
